If one guy want's to spend 600 and buy a CF trunk and the other guy wants to spend 600 and buy a catback, the guy buying the catback shouldnt be talking crap or making an example out of him. To please warr, I think everybody needs to go back to stock, spend less than 1k and run low 12's... problem solve. BTW, that CF airbox is pretty dam sharp

There very cheap as well.
Like I said and will say it again. If a person likes JDM and has the money, then it is his decision!!!!!!!!! Period. There is no wrong way to mod your vehicle based on your preferences!!! Everybody is different. I myself will pay for the JDM parts, why because I CAN!!! I love JDM. This is MO. I am not wrong because it is MO.
Well I'll be DAMNED if that ain't the Hottest thing.
I guess that this just clips on to the stock intake? How would it work on the HKS Super MEGA FLow intake?

It also shows as costing 97,476 YEN, what does that translate into dollars?

Its winter and your cold.... you can buy a bigass jacket at sears and be warm... or you can buy a suede sports coat at Armani exchange. Both will get the job done, only some people subscribes to the latter option. Nothing wrong with that.... why can't you seem to understand that?

you guys justify that you pay a little more because the parts looks good. who's going to see the O2 housing, the test pipe, the intake, the ecu when you are driving on the road, the only thing they will see it the tail pipe. they might look good when you have them in the mod list in your sig. these are performance parts, not bling bling parts. get carbon fiber hood, 20" chrome wheels or pearl paint if you want to pay for bling and have people notice them.

If you want to get JDM and spend the extra cash, who are any of us to judge? Nobody, it is there choice to purchase what they want. No, I am not a millionaire, but yes I do have the money to purchase JDM. Yes, I could buy the Sears coat, but that is not my taste! This is MO, just like it is YO to purchase a Sears coat, just like it is other peoples opinion to purchase JDM. Just my .02.

The filter element they use is acutuall a conical K&N unit. They sell the kit with the CF airbox or with just the filter alone (similar to the typhoon intake).

Warr is alittle harsh at times I'll agree. Maybe his intentions were to actually help this guy spend his money alittle wiser. I bought the Greddy Ti cat back and Ebc which I could have saved $600+ on. That $600 would have got the cams sooner, but I still got them. Now the thing I didn't agree with was saying Warr was in deeper money wise because he bought a MR for 37k +. The topic wasn't total price including car, it was total MOD price. I might as well buy a JDM motor and trans and put it in GoKart so I can run 8's with the least amount of money spent................
You can look to get maximum effect for minimum costs or you can choose to spend a little more money for not a lot more gain (or even none at times) to get parts that fit a little better, look a little better or are just less of a hassle to install. It's down to what you like and I think for most of us it's somewhere in between the extremes. If someone comes up with a 3" exhaust, full ti, looks and sounds wonderful but costs like $2000+ then I'd say it's a waste of money, but I'd buy it for say $1000 while other people would only pay in the 100's and get the stainless steel system and see exactly the same gain. I wouldn't call the person who pays the $2000 for it stupid, but to ME I made a better choice. As long as he is aware that you can spend a lot less, HE'd think he's made a better choice. I don't think anybody's being dumb here, just different priorities.
However, if I suggest that somebody spend $1000 to get the same gain as somebody else who spent only $500, I'm going to get flamed for giving 'bad advice' and I can see the justification for that. In truth a suggestion which involves minimum expense for maximum gain is most appropriate on forums like this. [The person asking for those suggestions can then add on any expense he/she thinks important for them.] This is all well and good but when people who have the less expensive mods start flaming those with the more costly mods (who therefore suggest what they have cos they know it's good) it gets really dumb. Like i said, different priorities, take your pick.
I'm not talking about anyone in particular so please guys, don't get all upset. Personally, things would get boring if we all go around with the same set of mods and there'd be like 3 companies who can sell parts. I like to see people recommending/commenting on a variety of mods from lots of different manufacturers and I think I'm not alone.
