Accomplish something that many others haven't done before or that most can't replicate, then also be sure to have enough presence and exposure that whatever you accomplish will be noticed by many and bring business to whoever you look to as a sponsor. In the end, it's all about business. If you can bring in more business, then you become worth the investment by a sponsor. It will also help if you polish up the writing skills.

hehe sorry about writing skills. i have someone who writes up the reviews and all. well i dont see any 05 evo with ssl package that fully gutted it. maybe im just crazy. the sunroof comes out soon with the ac. so thats another good 60-80lb. once sell seats i can get race seats and haness. and then when track day opens i can set a track recored for stock setup. and then i can get going with other stuff. should be a 11s road race car or so. so i don know. how do i go about showing what i do i try and see other evos. but i cant find anyone who has fully gutted a evo to the amount i have or will be doing.

Dude, unless you're next Michael Schumacher, you definitely need to take english classes first and learn how to write.

Why in the world would you gut and remove the sunroof on an evo with SSL? Your basically going to pay $3k for HIDs.

Im going to take a wild guess that your under 20 or this is your 1st real performance car.

Best way to prove you deserve a sponsorship is to take it to the track. Nobody is going to sponsor you just because you have a sweet car with no interior. Enter yourself into some AutoX events, maybe some drag events as well as car shows. Get your name and your car out there and maybe, just maybe, you'll get lucky.

hehe i know every one thinks im crazy that i had got the ssl and all. .but i got car for every day. but then ran in to other things and then this. i want to build a rull race car and i say why not do it now in my life then later. and i figer now thinking about it with the weight disabusion with the sunroof . when i take it out the back will be a bit heavery. i know it so little but it will be a little bit better then how it would be with no sunroof. and then i can also one day make or have a vendor make a insort for the sunroof part with a air duct in. i dont see any vendor selling insorts for the evo in that way. so i mean im willing to test things and write how i like it or whats the good bad and what not.

Proving yourself in your car is the only way...you have to start somewhere. You would have to know the right people if you are just looking for a handout. Take your car to the track and learn it COMPLETELY. Then you'll have to travel to the tracks where maybe some scouts go looking, and or there maybe drivers there in the race/solo events that would pass the word along to the man up high who does the sponsering. Nowhere have I ever seen a company just handin out sponsorships without seeing proven talent......that's just my oppinion

yes i em doing that. but remeber the car is seting up to be a road race car so the track not open for a little bit longer. and i have little more work to do and what not till then. so trying to get every thing going. and all car shows and all are not going on beccasue to cold. and i do get name out go to all local car clubs and all. so people see my car and see what i have been doing.

I understand, Mike, and I know you have dyslexia, but that will not be a valid excuse. It just means you have to work at it harder than others in order to write properly. You can always put your posts through a spell-checker in MS Word before submitting anything. This would take care of punctuation, capitalization, spelling, and also sentence structure to some degree. You will have to work at it to come across as a knowledgable individual.

Now, just the fact that you are gutting your Evo doesn't make it an attractive option. In fact, 99% of Evos are NOT gutted and never will be, so you won't appeal to the masses. There's no reason to pay all that money for SSL only to spend even MORE money to remove everything that you paid for. Also, saying you SHOULD have an "11s road race car or so" is a big assumption. You will have to go out and prove that you can run 11s, then you will have to go out and show that you are a superior driver on the road course within a sanctioned race event. Do you have your licenses for whatever sanctioned racing club you will participating with (i.e. SCCA, NASA, etc)?

total agree with you on that one. but i mean right now i can be doing stuff for the car as parts like gutting parts or a verdor who does not know somthing or if will work. like the dash if remove can i take the gauge cluster out and just mount that but im sure says in the service book which i should go out and get one. and i will be hopping to attend the track in cople months when open again. i think the most out of this car i will be see with money going is tires, brakes, and tunes for handling and power.

I know what you mean. I am setting the goals for my car setup. And I think a 11s road race car should be a nice beats on the road. And I will be showing times that I can do all this just time needs to go by. And need to get funds and the parts in. which not a big problem just time is needed. And I’m going to be in the PDA. That is were a couple of friends are also I was going to do last year but I was not in the state of mind of doing all this.
