Gruppe-S is amazing. I ordered 272 cams from them last year, and they said they were on infinate back order. I ordered them anyways and waited, but only had to wait 3 days till they arrived. I like Gruppe-s!

Hittman- I can not argue with anything you have said. Well, I can, but, your responses seem so sensible that it makes me not want to get into it with you.
There are about ten "must buy from" vendors in the U.S. evo world and Gruppe-S is one of them. But not all would agree. I understand. I had one of the "best" tuners in the Milky Way tune my car. The tune was great, but he was too busy to call me back or explain what is happening with my car that I will not use him ever , again. Trust me, I wanted to start a thread so that I could get a response. Istead, I changed tuners.

I ordered rims from them and they took a little longer than expected. I also had to contact them multiple times to get a status. I did receive them and they were in perfect shape. They price matched to get my business. Overall an Ok experience but not as good as I've had with some other vendors and not completely problem free. Communication and customer service are important and experiences should be expressible good or bad without repercussion. It is beneficial for the vendor and the customer. The vendor gets feedback and can improve if needed and customers can make informed decisions.

Get off the guy's back for posting this thread. It's an Evo forum, Gruppe-S is a site sponsor and he wants his $700 part. What is this? Communist f-ing Russia?

That being said...I buy all my parts and get all my tuning done at Gruppe-S. Mike's got a solid group working over there. They are the best Evo vendor IMHO. Problem is Tom is the only guy who handles Evo part orders as far as I know. He's out this week. $hit happens, you know? I'm guessing the email inquiries and phone calls have getting a little backed up. That's the reason Evo owners have been having trouble getting through. I sent him a PM last week and when I didn't get a reply the same day I knew something was up. He'll be back soon and I'm sure everybody will get their parts and a return phone call or email. They are a good vendor but they're also a small business, not a major corporation. When somebody is out sick or on vacation things like this happen.

No, more like Yugoslavia. You can post whatever you want, but the Mods can make you disappear for it.

I purchased from them once. Communication in the beginning was OK, part was also promised to be shipped at a certain time and was delayed by few weeks. I never ever got the tracking number and it just showed up one day. So I guess, that's normal business for them.

thats fine and dandy, every says they're a great vendor. ok thats fine but i wont agree with it till i hear something from them. also i have alota fellow evo owners in my area that are even on this site. if they ask me about i will be honest. because outa the 15 or so people i know that own evos all of them want a jdm rear so if i dont get my response by this weekend then the word will spoken about them. i know someone said its a small company, but as i stated before business is business you want to keep your costumers you need to respond to them. i've worked in a small business for a few years and they were constantly there never leaving the job. thats a good owner and what not. with this matter though i just am at shock that there is no other way of contacting them.i know alota people are with me on this. anyways i'll be back in a few hours i have to get to work now lol. later ya'll

I think you should never ever work in a customer orientated business. If my company operated like that we'd be out of business. And we ourselves are on the verge of kicking out a major vendor for lousy customer service just like Gruppe-S has shown. It's actually a similar scenario where they don't come back to us in timely fashion (only we can't wait like most customers here).
Part of customer service is to give updates to customers even if you have to say "I'll be out of office from till, if you need updates call 555-xxxx" and similar.

I am sure there is a reasonable answer for why you have not gotten a reply.

But for right now you do have the right to complain. You should be able to get a update on your order within a day or two. Whether you phone or email someone should respond to it.

So I am sure he has every right to complaine until he finds out the status of his order.

If you never get a reply i would say bump this thread but I would let this thread die.

donmeca2020...You're probably already aware of this, but Tom at Gruppe-S has that same bumper installed on his Evo 8. It looks very clean and makes his car stand out in a parking lot that's usually full of other Evos. You have every right to know what's going on but trust me...you're gonna get that part and benefit from the fact that you ordered it from somebody who has an invested first hand experience in the part.

I've managed a customer support/tech support call center for a billion dollar international corporation. I know more than you do. I'd bet my Evo on it. But comparing that to Gruppe-S is apples to oranges and any rational human being would understand that. If Gruppe-S had twenty fricken people working at their office just to answer emails and phone calls you'd see that increased overhead expense offset with an increase in the cost of parts and labor. I don't feel like paying $600 for a dyno tune or $200 for a JDM MR BOV nor does anybody else. Think about it. Tom, and before him Calvin, have always been Johny-on-the-fuggin-spot when it comes to ordering parts, matching prices and tirelessly answering questions in their vendor forum here on EvoM. About the time I started noticing that is when I started ordering parts exclusively through them. I've spent plenty of time in that shop and they're dedicted to what they do...both on the tuning and parts side, and on both the STi and Evo side. However I understand that somebody on the other side of the country orders expensive JDM parts and doesn't care about that though right now. I've been there and I know EXACTLY what the original poster is going through. I waited 4 months for $850 in performance parts when I had my last car. In this case there's an explanation for it though and I hope...and I would think...that's the whole point in starting a thread like this.

mustard...amen brutha...some of them suck

whatever youd like to believe turd squirter is you, but as i said im stickin to my post above. thats that. shotty costumer service is something i couldnt believe about them. i see this first hand as i said i hope then can offer me and the other some sorta of discount or something. the main thing here is im not trying to F--- anyone over. all i want to know is where is my flippin product i ordered. and you are such a bussiness man more then i then you should know business is taken care of first then personal things. i've worked in a business such as gruppe s before and thats how we did things. worked all week during busy hours. then finally we had some time we had the shop closed and took care of a funeral we had to attend. thats how we did it. like i said my deadline from hearing from them will be saturday night. if i dont get an email or call by then. the S*** is going to hit the fan.
