Not sure if you're referring to me, but if you are, do you mind explaining yourself? Every mod I have is exactly what I want and exactly what I recommend to everyone else EXCEPT FOR the filter, which is only an $80 cone filter, not some crazy $250 intake. I only got that because I'll be near 400whp and at the point where the stock airbox begins to be iffy. Al requested it for tuning purpose. Dave did not ask me to use it - in fact, he never has asked me to do anything. He just kindly provides that which I ask for, and I only ask for things that I think I need/want.

What's the hypocrite part?

I think he may be referring to comments you make here and there, esp about spending all this money and what not. I know you have said things to my posts that are partially contradictory but its all good, if I had the opportunities that you have as far as vendors go I would be doing the exact same thing.

I was talking about warrtalon.

you started out by saying how pointless it is to get a diverter valve with the stock turbo with alitte upped boost, besides the MR and youd go into every single thread and just trash them and the people who were curious about them, then you go get the forge 1 which is known to cause surging. then you were swearing up and down how you dont need a flash and that a s-afc was just good enough, then you get a dynoflash and praise it. yeah then you just trashed about how intakes are worthless, then you get a buschur filter. Even in this thread you said youd look into the forge sylicone intake pipe, when earlier you said you wouldnt change it. I just feel like you just bashed a ton of new members here because they went with mods in a different approach, but when it comes down to it in the end everyone basically has the same kind of mods. i can really careless how/which way a person mods their car, but you coming into other peoples threads and bashing them when youre basically still going the same route as everyone is weak. i know you havent done it for awhile since the mods have cracked down, but i just felt like youre 1 of those people who only think their way is right and no one elses.

please dont take it the wrong way, since i dont know you besides how you act on here and youve never personally ever said anything to me, and im probably just talking out my ****. but thats how it seems...sorry end of rant.

Well, unfortunately, you freaked out for no reason.

1) I still recommend the JDM MR DV. It works very well and is the cheapest one you can get. I never bashed the Forge, and NO, it is not known to surge like you're referring to. That's the OLD Forge BOV, not the new Forge RS. It is fully-recirculating, and I will be running 24-25psi all day long with alky, which is the limit to where the MR DV holds up. The JDM MR DV is great for people running on pump gas all day, everyday. It's also ok up to 24psi, but it's not as strong as the Forge RS. Also, I wouldn't pay to go from the JDM MR DV to the Forge RS DV (or any other DV), but I got it as part of my sponsorship. You can ask anyone who has asked me about it, too - I never recommend to someone to change their JDM MR DV (or IX DV) to a Forge just because I am sponsored. In fact, I just had a guy recently ask for my advice - he was planning on getting a Forge RS DV on his new IX - I told him his stock BOV was great and that he didn't need to spend the money. He thanked me for both the education on his stocker and the honesty of not just trying to make a sale. I only bash on VTA BOVs, so get the story straight.

2) SAFC - no, not everyone needs a flash. I personally didn't need a flash to run 12.2s on a cat-back and 12.01 on a TBE all with my own tuning. The SAFC allowed me to re-tune myself at all times without needing a reflash or anything. Then, I got to a point where ONLY a flash could get me past the 6spd limitation in 4th gear at the dragstrip. There was no way to know that would be a problem, because I was the first one to run into the problem - or at least the first one to bring up the issue publicly. Most other people were already flashed in their MRs when going low 12s, so I broke some ground there. I then got my flash to raise the rev limit and later got sponsored by Al without soliciting such. I love my flash and realize where the SAFC limitations are - rev limit and missing low-end torque without injectors - no limitation on peak WHP.

3) Intake? Come on, man, I just explained that. I love the stock airbox, and I planned on continuing to use it, but by request due to getting close to 400whp, I went with the Buschur filter for tuning purposes. I still recommend to people that they use the stock airbox as long as they can, and I don't even include an intake in my own Warrtalon stages. Why would you point out the Forge silicone pipe??? that's not a hard pipe - it's still silicone like the stocker? I've never seen it, but I sure would love to try it.

In the end, all of these parts have been free, and I am trying them out to see what can be gained. If something doesn't work, I won't promote it and won't use it. If something DOES work, I will promote it to the fullest and use it daily. So, despite the hypocrite claim, I am still very much in line with all of my beliefs from the very beginning. I am not going around telling everyone they must buy the BR air filter or the Forge RS DV or get Dynoflashed. I am, however, installing, testing, dyno'ing, and racing with these parts in order to provide solid feedback to those who want it - there happens to be a lot of them.

Anytime i do a search and can't find the answer i'm looking for, Warrtalon is the 1st person i go to for advise. If he doesn't know, then you can sure bet he knows who to ask. And with everything he's done/doing with his mods, you can sure as hell bet he'll let the EvoM public know the facts in an unbiased fashion as he's always done. Myself and many others on this forum thank you Warr for everything you bring to the table. If i ever run into you in a bar, 1st rounds on me. Good game.

Mevolution- Not everyone likes the Warrtalon Show. I can understand, just ask the Mods. But, try and find someone else that is willing to offer his own time and very honest opinion to anyone who asks, especially Newbies. Warrtalon is a newbies best friend. They need there *** chewed-out every now and again. Much like raising a kid. Gotta keep them in line.
If Warrtalon was a Mod, this forum would be closer to what it use to be in 2003.

what is so great about a silicone pipe? what makes it different from any other pipe, al included. br has an al intake elbow... what is so great about pointing out that a certain pipe is made of silcone? samco has had one out for a long time. why are you willing to try something like that but are against any other intake? (not that i know you're against intakes, but many of them do work just fine). the main difference between the stock intake and another is the corrogated pipe... and there is no aftermarket intake that will mimick that because that type of redundancy would be just that... redundant and totally pointless.

i guess the idea is that you've gotten all this stuff for free... whereas you used to critisize people for buying them before. but now you're saying that you're doing all this testing for people that DO want it... so suddenly it's ok to get this stuff? pay money? pay for little or no gain? pay for ancillary benefits taht people have been paying for and reaping all this time? i think that's the point... suddenly it's ok cuz you got this stuff for free... and that's fine. i'm glad it's ok now.

What the heck? What's wrong with you guys? Who have I criticized for the parts I'm using. I'm only using parts that I LIKE and that I RECOMMEND. The only part that's even in question is the BUSCHUR FILTER. That's a very basic and inexpensive part - it's just a cone filter. I don't know anything about the Forge silicone MAF pipe or whatever. I've never seen it nor heard of it, but since Forge is one of my sponsors, I figured I'd be one of the first people trying it. What's wrong with that and why are you on my case? I'm just trying to help people here, good Lord.

I don't know why you said I've criticized people for BUYING the parts I'm currently testing/installing/using. Why did you say that in a blanket statement when it only remotely applies to intakes ($250-$400 like Injen and HKS RS)? I don't understand the animosity...

the only thing i don't understand is why you are so against a hks rs intake, they are proven over and over to make power when tuned, yea untuned they are source of many problems but when tuned they typically gain 10 to 15 whp, and i don't care who you are but if your getting free parts or discounted i don't think there is anyone out there that wouldn't at least try them, so anyone on his case about that your just not being reasonable, i am real against RNR turbo kits for personal reasons but hell if they sent me a kit for free or discounted i can guarantee as soon as i got it i would be in the shop installin it

Don't quite get this statement. HKS makes SSQV.

HKS RS intake has made great power on many cars I have seen "on the dyno" and again, we think the injen pipe is a piece that works. It is the fact that you cannot buy just the intake pipe that makes it frustrating. We purchased our pipe used from MattGold, Then later in the process got the new hard pipes only kit that comes with the t-bolt clamps. The standard kit with intake does not.

If Warrtalon was a Mod, this forum would be closer to what it use to be in 2003.

Warrtalon - I cant see your pics cuz I'm in Iraq and pic hosting sites are blocked, but if its the same one I bought your really going to enjoy it.

I added it with the exh mani, cams, and a 10.5 hotside on mine, MAN it was nice. PS we created a bracket to support the O2 as well.

mevolution - If VENDORS didnt run the forum it would be better then in was in 2003.

I'm not against the part itself, just the spending of so much money for little gain. If they really gave gains of 10-15whp as typically as you say, then it would be different, but I've definitely never seen that to be the case. People get them untuned all the time, and then the gains after tuning can't be separated by tune and by intake. Then, the gains are only shown on a stationary car with the hood open without simulating the enclosed underhood temps reaching 180-200* when driving with the hood close at high speed. I know that the Injen and the HKS RS work fine, but I don't recommend them when the stock intake does so well. That amount of money can quickly and easily be spent on much more useful mods, imo.

Aright I can see that point, I picked up my HKS for 150 used so I jumped on the deal, I myself not sure if I would have bought it if it was brand new, I wanted to keep total invested in performance under 3k which I happened to over shoot just a little but o well but I still haven't picked up a clutch yet
