Radio removle question.

I plan on putting my alpine indash in. Now when the stock radio is out is the back open to where I can possible run a wire from the back of the radio to the glove box? Will I need to drill any holes or cut on my car any?

once you open it up, you'll see it's wide open. Also, the top back of the glove box doesn't seal up to anything, so you can feed wires right over the top if that's what you have in mind...

You might want to consider finding another place for it, there is a lot of room but a TV dinner sized box will probably have to go under the passenger seat...that is unless you don't mind taking up the whole glove box with it.

You will have room on the right side of the back of the glove box. not on the left side. you will see once you open the glove box all the way. I mounted my Sirrius reciever back there directly to the back of the glove box itself, so you dont see it when the glove box is open. but there is not that much room there. 1 inch thick should not be a problem but there isnt that much room on the sides..

It doesnt bother my to take up teh whole glove box. I would rather it be in there protected then be under the seat and risk something getting kickd into it.

the one thing i did is i mounted it to the back side of the glove box. i had to remove the ribs ( on what would be the top as your looking at it) so i could mount it to a flat surface. my glove box is wide open inside. its quite cool, when you open the glove box you dont see it. the problem your going to have i think is the size not so much the thickness. take a look, and you might squeeze it in there, but you will see, they didnt leave a hell of a lot of extra room in there for big things. the sirrius reciever is about 4x5x1.5 inches.
