i sit high in my seat. take my shirt off and flex a couple times. they usually get the picture. sometimes i have to flex my triceps to get the point across.
if your worried about how you look or are percieved when you drive pass other cars you have problems. you shouldnt care how or what some ricer or groccery getter thinks of you based on how you pass them. i can see being worried or wanting to slow down if your overtaking a cop.
as far as the greetings from other cars.....this is where it turns into motorcycle world. i hate when im out on my ducati and every motorcycle waves at me, it will be like two guys on a honda rebel and they both wave. its overboard. i might throw a wave to another ducati if he waves but thats it. if people in cool cars wave i return the favor. where i come from you wave when you know someone.

I had a lancer owner roll down his window and yell while he was pumping his arm at my evo saying that thing rocks man!! i just laughed.

I usually drive conservatively unless I have some wide open road. But tonight some 20 something year old guy in a silver Dodge Magnum rev'd at me while we were driving and when I looked over at him he took off. So I dropped it down a gear and floored it...needless to say I was about 3 car lengths ahead of him a short time later =)
When I looked back at him while we were stopped at a red light he looked PISSED!
And as for other lancers...I don't even think about how I look to them.

i just drive by slowly and let them stare. if its an import kinda guy with a mod like rims, drop, or exhaust, i drive next to them.....suprising to say that they try to take off and i have to watch them suddenly disappear in my rear view mirror....sad but its ok.....im pretty sure that if i was a lancer driver, id wanna stare at an Evo....here in Hawaii, almost EVERY Evo you see is someone you know and they usually wave.....small island i tell ya

If it's a younger person in a lancer who seems like they may have an understanding of the lancer/evo connection, I'll waive..but if some 50 year old hindu carting his wife around in the back seat- I tend not to do anything. I usually waive at WRX/STi's too, but they rarely return the favor, bastards.

Funny topic.. I was just thinking of this the other day..
Evo owners are the best... I've had my evo for almost 3 months now and every time I pass another evo I get a wave.. I love it.. I'm not used to it... B4 the evo I had 2 mustangs, I don't know if any of you guys ever owned one b4 but wow... I would try to wave to the other mustang and they would just not look at me, or they would just speed off??? Go figure??? But like I said, I think evo owners are the best...

i drive the same way by every car. i do not segregate, or play favorites Originally Posted by slo4g63

I do this when I drive by most cars like low modded civics, non turbo eclipses, any car that doesn't really look like it's got anything. Anyone else do this?

I pulled up to a light next to an ES with a VII wing and a bunch of stickers once. I felt like an asshole for going back to college, getting a degree, and working my butt off at a decent paying job. As soon as I got home, I jumped in the shower and washed my entire body with a brillo pad, but the guilt never went away.

I beep and wave at the same STI once in a while when we cross paths on the way to work, same goes for the girl in the yellow evo. They usually return the favors, and also "help" each other out in traffic.

Coming from the focus community, you tend to wave to people in similar cars. Most of the time they think you're nuts, 'cause they ain't car people. But it's still a nice gesture. Every now and then, some one will wave back, and that's always cool.

I wish Lancers were little more like WRX. WRX could relate a lot to STI's but lancers have hard time relating with Evo's... completely different animals...

Tomorrow night will be one week of Evoship for me. So far, I've noticed that every dumb punk in a Tiburon (sp?) Civic, 350Z, Accord whatever seems to like to give me the "rice-by".
Thus far, I move right and let them by. I see no point in influencing some idiot to kill me or others innocent people. If I move right and slow down, and they hurt themselves at least I'll have a clean conscience.
This car is awesome but the stupid things people do trying to make themselves feel better is a little scary.

Lots of people here drive to aggresive, down shifting and all that crap for nothing. In some places thats how you get shot in the face on the next stop light. Just becareful guys, if you really like your car dont do anything that will take it away from you. Peace!
