How do you drive by Lancers or other cars

I drive slow when I see mod cars behind me, they follow me for awhile and think this evo slow or something's wrong with this evo...when they try to pass me I step on the gas and they dissappear. I can see they are trying to keep up again on my rear view mirror. 
Not trying to be mean or anything but its funny how they are trying to get closer and only to stay behind me.

I generally only wave at Evos, mainly because I know most of them and sold most of them. Still a month ago I came up on a white one with a lady driving it, that I didn't know and I even blew the horn and waved (a practice I do only when the car is identical to mine) She didn't even flinch. I may give a quick glance at a ES/LS, but mainly don't notice them (unless they are modded). OZ/RA drivers I'll check out a little closer and they are usually the ones who notice me very quickly. A few will swoop in close and I've been paced by an OZ or RA now and again, and they'll usually do that for a few blocks and then give me the fly by like they're pissed I'm going so slow (not a WOT fly by, but fly by nonetheless). The Evos I met while driving my DSM that did not know me, would only stare real hard.
I'll only gape openly at Lambos and 'Rari's. But, Porsches and BMW's I won't even look at, or let them know I'm looking. I have tint so it makes it a easy to do so. I won't acknowledge modded Civics/RSX's/240's etc unless they do first because the potential for them to be some sort of clown seems higher. But I have been gawked at by MKIV's, 300ZX's and FD's. I do notice if I get a clean light next to most modded cars they won't pull up evenly with me, but most try to start something while already rolling.
I have never gotten a return wave from an STi, which is cool - I don't really wave much at anybody, but the few times I have come up on an STi, it was so close and we both obviously knew we were looking at one another I felt like a nod, wave - some sort of acknowledgement was in order.
