Lost rubber grommet going through firewall.

Ok just recently I installed a boost guage and ran my hose through the hole near the passenger side firewall behind the glovebox. I popped the grommet out from the engine bay and I never saw it again. The hole is nearly impossible to reach so it's also impossible to measure. Does anyone know if I can pick this part up from the dealer or know of the hole diameter so I can pick up a replacement from the hardware store? It bothers me that I have no grommet and I know it's somewhere behind the ecu/ blower motor but I'm not going to pull all of it apart to find it.

I took mine out. It's easier to get to that from the engine bay.

Honestly, I lost mine a year ago, it really didn't effect much.

Then I was cleaning my car and it somehow rolled out and was stuck behind the glove box about 4 months ago.

But honestly, it's pia. I'll leave it out, unless you really really want it in.

I think it was around an inch or so... there is a thread on here from a year or so ago on how to get to it, how to get it out, put it in. They basically made a little tool that grabs the grommet...

I don't think it's worth the trouble.

most of the time the easiest thing to do with a grommet is put a diagonal slit in it on one side. It will help alot with installation.

If you don't know where this gommet is, it's hard to imagine how hard it is to get to.

it's really somewhere hard to get to.

Same here, I lost the grommet when I was installing my boost gauge, 2 months later I found it when I was replacing my speakers (running better wires), it was behind the kickpanel.

You know I'm glad both of you guys told me that. I was thinking it was behind there initially and I couldn't get the panel off. I popped the plastic pin out and I took off the plastic screw near the floor top and I couldn't manuever it out. It was getting stuck on the door sill plate. I was able to feel underneath the kick panel and I could fee the grommet but may be it is back there.
