There's more harmful crimes out there like rape, robbery, assult, drug dealing...etc..than expired tags. It is BS.

What I would do is make this as much of a pain as you can for this cop. I don't know the laws very well, but if you can fight this all the way to jury trial then I would try that. This is one of the reasons I moved to Pa from Md. I hate Md cops, almost every single one I met has been a total ***** and thinks he is above everyone. I have yet to have a bad experience with the Pa cops where I live. They dont harrass me like the Md cops do and they have actually helped me a couple times.

Yes, big mistake driving with expired tags. I am not sure if a police officer can refuse to give you their badge number, however. And I would have liked to see them arrest you. If you didn't resist arrest, that has lawsuit written all over it. Besides, it is not their property, what a douchebag.
thats tough man, but riding w/ expired tags is pretty bad, shouldve swapped plates w/ another car if you REALLY wanted to drive it. However, im suprised that you were in that situation in the first place...you guys dont have any "friendly" inspection stations around in that part of MD, the kind that are only your friends after you give them something extra?? hehehe worked for "someone" i heard about many times w/ many cars... as long as it wasnt missing doors and leaning to one side it was always okay

I'm in the police academy and this is the exact kind of stuff we are learning about. I feel sorry for the way they mistreated you, some cops are ***** and some aren't.
I would go extra lengths just to make sure those *******s get slapped up, I hate cops like that... wannabee marines, hand on the pistol pff what a ***** as if the grocery guy was going to hurt them... Get away this is our property?!?!? if someone ever said that to me about my EVO I'd tell the cop hes a ****ing moron, tell him to bring me to jail and then have someone bail me out just to waste his time. I'm sorry but I think the majority of police officers are wannabee tough guys that no one liked in high school... I had a few in my platoon when I was at Ft. Jackson, they couldn't do ANYthing right.

ANd now I know your retared talking about calling him a moron and telling him to take you to jail, he is not wasteing his time, cops get paid doing their job, they get paid to go to court. Your wasteing your time and your money tying to be a tough guy and saying take me to jail. Ohhhh I forgot your a GED Marine so you would be in tough guy mode and say take me to jail, and then realize later, dam "I wasted my 1k allowence a month the government gives me DAm".
