comp 280 cam questions

I just recieved comp 280 cams and the specs dont say 280 on them anywhere. They do say 265 and 264.So I thought they sent me the wrong cams I called them and they assured me that they were right. Does anybody else know what Im talking about or are they just bsing me? also what valve springs would be best?

It depends on at what lift you you want to measure the duration...

They will say the same thing. Like Zues said, it's all about the lift at which the duration is measured. Measure an HKS 280 at the same lift the Comp's are measured at and they wont be 280 either.

Funny thing I got mine today and they said the same thing. If it says 119301 and 119302 the cams are 280 I called also and if you look on the forced performance
website on the specs on the 280s it matches the cam sheet the comes with the cams.

Hmm, I got the 280 cams put in yesterday at TurboTrix and I promise you you WON'T reget it. They are absolutely sick sounding and give you so much more top end=D

you don't need springs and retainers to run 280's.. we have installed 280's on hundreds of cars without any upgraded internals. the comp 280's won't say "280/280" on the box.. the part numbers are:

119-301-8I for the Intake cam
119-302-8E for the Exhaust cam

Are the comp cams a good choice? What are the Pros/Cons of HKS, Comp, Revolver, ect.

Thanks!
