I paid less for my MR than a lot of guys paid for the SSL. Plenty of VIII owners I know paid more than I did for my MR. It's a great car if you can get it at the right price. Numbers like $8k over seem ridculious though.

 

the sticker price was about $4000 different 05 evo vill was 32k and 05 MR was $36094

i could've waited for an MR, but i knew that they would bump up the price since it just came out.. so i just got the last batch of 04 in WW evo8 with SSL and be happy i got an evo!!

I bought it before the MR hit the showroom anyway

I had 03 evo 8 too, but I crashed it. but I do like the bilstein and aluminum roof, compare stock to stock, MR does handle better.

 

the number is correct, I was thinking about the JDM spec, Mitsubishi came out with MR edition, because in Japan the evo 8 GSR has 6 speed, in the case MR is lighter the purpose was to reduce body weight like bmw came out w/ m3 csl
but in US the evo 8 only has 5 speed therefore MR weighs heavier

 

O ok well you said the mr weighs lighter in a earlier post and I was like no it doesnt hahahaha but its coo. just making a kind correction

 

yeah b/c US spec evo 8 has 5 speed therefore its lighter

but in JDM spec MR weighs lighter than evo 8 gsr 6 speed.
