The difference isn't worth it overtime, because everything I pay a premium for is out the window minus the tranny, which I'm not hot on anyways.

Evogod; Making 45whp more had nothing to do with the fact your IX was a IX MR. A IX RS would of done the same.
I agree with the SSL package. The interior on the IX is so much nicer with the SSL. Heck, look at those beautiful seats!

To top it off, i got my IX SSL for $31k out the door including the $830 early recovery lojack system.

And regardless of whether or not you're going to upgrade them,... wear them down and put some nice R-Compound tires on them for the track. Thats what i'm going to do with my IX SSL wheels which i think are butt ugly.
Umm, that was an N not an R. Nicer not Ricer lol......wow that's pretty funny

when I went to buy my car my father came along with me cause we both love car shopping. i knew i wanted a White with ssl package evo and they only had a yellow and and a black VIIIs and a MR with 400miles on it. at the time i knew i didnt want the MR, but once i had the car all my father does now is wonder why i didnt want "the top of the line". I can only explain it so many times, so i totally agree with you. i might just get a VG just to shut him up

i got an MR simply because it wasn't much more than the SSL at the dealer and i really dig the graphite grey. also, i like the BBS rims and bilsteins and figured that would save me money from not buying rims and suspension. if i bought a GSR i definitely would want HID's and to get them you needed the SSL which is quite a bit more than a GSR. i love all evos though, i'd take an RS if need be and be content, they all have the same power and you don't see many of any of the evo's on the road. plus since i do alot of highway driving and not much dragging(more of an autocross fan), the extra gear appealed to me.
