Service engine light

I went to an auto x event yesturday, and I realized that my profec b boost setting was much higher than it should this morning, maybe someone have touched it by accident since it's mounted on the lower console of the dash board. Then, my service engine light came on this afternoon, however, my car drives and sounds fine, so what's wrong with my car, could I have damaged my engine and turbo already? please help, I'm getting really nervous!!!!!!!!

Get the code read with an OBDll scanner. I have a feeling that it's probably a PO401.

Is that what code you got from the scanner? Here's a link to help you.https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ighlight=po401 I'm not saying that is the code you have, but to me it sounds like it.

From the link it says CEL, but it says SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT instead. Can the OBDll scanner pull out the codes for SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT as well? Thanks.

CEL = Check Engine Light = SES = Service Engine Soon = Whatever the light that says your engine is fuggin up says lol

My CEL never came on in my old lancer but i had a problem with the EGR twice. Try running some fuel system cleaner through the car. I did it once and never had the problem again. Probably something gunked up.

I went to auto zone to pull the code and indeed it was P0401, I guess I'll just reconnect the plug, if I can find where it is.
