Yeah, it's obviously freaked me out to the extent of all I can think about is "blow up!" But, has this ever happened to anybody at only 10psi or half throttle? Someone just send me a diagram of the piping (thanks), so I will try to atleast look for any obvious loose connections. How much time is involved in checking all the pipes and connetions?

This is hilarious...

Anyway, Steevo, first calm down. Second, look at your engine. That big pipe that runs next to your battery is called an upper intercooler pipe or uic. There are clamps on it. Get a 10mm or screwdriver and tighten those clamps. Follow it back towards the rear of the engine. This hooks up to the throttlebody. Check that too. Check all clamps that relate to this pipe. Follow this pipe down to that large radiator looking thing in front of your car called an intercooler. There are lower intercooler pipes (lic) down below, on each side. You can get to those by jacking your car up or using ramps.

Everyone is telling you this is the problem. So, befoer you pay an @ssload of cash to get it towed 40 miles, troubleshoot it yourself first. I'm not trying to be a smart@ss either...post up when you find the loose clamp

Thanks for all the help people. Any new ideas or suggestions would be great. If me and my buddy can't resolve it , I guess I'll tow it to the shop. I wish I could just get someone down here to help me. I don't know much about turbo's or cars when it comes down to this, but with people trying to help, that's helping me learn. It's funny that just because I own an Evo, everyone thinks I know how to do everything to it. I have enough homework and research to do with my real job.

O.K. I will give it a try. When you pop your hood you will see a aluminum pipe runing up and down right next to your battery. It has large black hoses about 2 1/2" in diameter connected to it. One goes up into the Throttle Body the other goes down next to where your air box (Where you change your air filter) is. First check where the hose connects into the Trottle Body. You will see clamp around the end of the hose. It should be 10mm. Use a ratchet and see if it is tightly secured. After that follow the other hose leading down next to you airbox when you find a clamp make sure it is tight. This will lead you to the intercooler. There are two connections make sure they are tight. Follow the pipe until you reach the turbo and make sure all hoses are connected and tight. You most likely will need to remove the black plastic undertray(under your car) to gain access to the intercooler hoses and the turbo area. Use a phillips head screwdriver to remove this tray.

Thumbnail is big help...thanks....my friend is coming to pick me up in five minutes to go look at it? I see the two clamps that the arrows are pointing to. Are these the most common to come undone? Which others are easiest to check or most common to pop off?

Do you know how to click on it? There are arrows on the pic!

Yes the 2 arrows are pointing to the Throttle body(larger arrow) Smaller is just another clamping point. Are those 2 tight? Can you pull them off?

There are more clamps on the bottom as mentioed in a prior post. Check all of your clamps and vaccume line to your BC.

Good luck and take your time!

do you have any leaks in the radiator?(could have been caused during the mbc removal/install) did you check how much fluid you have? what about oil color?(creamy color/texture?)
