i dont want to jinx you, but a blown headgasket could be the least of your worries. hopefully you missed something and the shop(please pick a good one) can fix it before al the tests have to be run.

I have total convidence in Dyno4mance, 35min away, where I'm taking it. They will definataley be able to diagnose the problem properly. The work on tons of Evo's. Do you, out of no one else, think it's possible a blown headgasket? What symptoms of mine show this? Was are "all the tests" I dont want to have run? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to be prepared to tell them whats wrong. thanks.

If you take is somewhere take it to Dyno4mance. I would trust them with anyhting. Andrew is awesome. They are up 75 about north of ATL.

I would have driven it home. Unless it sounded like a coffee can full of bolts being shaken. Then I would call for a tow. If it just ran like as$ I would drive it.

It is likely that it is an unbearable drive at 20mph. You can hear a vacuum leak. Find it.

well, if you have oil in your radiator, coolant in your oil(check dipstick very often), or coolant on top of your pistons(take spark plugs out and look inside), then you have some very expensive problems. but if not, youre lucky(since you cant find any loose hoses or leaks, but you may have missed something). a leakdown and compression test will tell all(make this your last resort, IF you or a knowledgeable EVO person cant find any probs). Good luck!!!

I feel relieved that you are taking it to Dyno4mance and not the dealer...! Remember to flat bed it.

You managed to install an MBC, but you can't figure out some hoses? Ok...

You know, I'm closing this for now.

If he wants to post a comment about what was wrong, he can post a new thread, but we ALL know what the problem is... he blew an intercooler piping off.
