OK...just checked upper intercooler hoses and claps all were tight. The two clamps connected to the intercooler felt tight, but I was not able to get to them with a wrench. I was able to stick a screwdriver through the grill and they seems really tight. It must be somewhere else in my piping. Question is now : Is it at all safe to drive it home 1 mile? I want to work on it in my driveway , not the road. So much black smoke, I dont know.

It's funny that just because I own an Evo, everyone thinks I know how to do everything to it. I have enough homework and research to do with my real job.
Pay for my ticket, and expenses, and $200 and ill come down and do it for you.

I'm going to let someone else handle it. It would just be nice to get it home in my driveway so I can find someone to help me out.

If it were me, I would drive it home. Dont blame me if something happens because I am not looking at the car and therefore cant tell for sure whats wrong with it but it just sounds like a major ic piping leak and in that case isnt going to kill the car to drive it home.

anyone who has been reading my questions knows what i am getting at. You may be in some trouble man.
1. defi gauge can be off as far as your actual boost, which could be devastating.
2. your oil color and /or coolant contaminants(if any) could also be a huge indication of something terrible.

i hope these things arent whats going on but if so, take it to a very reputable shop and have a leakdown and compression test done. this will tell all. also, they will be able to better diagnose it than us(because we arent there looking at it). hope this helps,
Alex
