If you listen to the track video of the cyber evo, it makes the same sound on the BOV discharge cycle....I was curious myself

Wow it sounded like those awsome honDuhs In fast and the furious. I really want an HKS BOV for my Evo** so that it can sound kool. Does anyone know if it will make my Evo** sound like taht

 

It took 3 pages to figure out which BOV that is?

 

racerhead2, it is definately NOT the wastegate. This sound was coming on every time the throttle was let off, not to mention, i doubt he was hitting full boost for very long if at all long enough to even hear his wastegate open up even if it was an open set up.

LOL! Btw, the hks SSQ has a similar fluttering sound. Friend with a celica sounded like that, and this evo in this video flutters as well, but in a different one on the same day at a track sounds different under WOT. http://videos.streetfire.net/search/...C22E900CB9.htm

Check out the cyber evo's setup, which ironically makes the same exact sound as this supra..


the only thing I can see that looks remotely like a BOV or boost control is that rudamentary flange of aluminum bolted to the primary i/c pipe which is located above the l/f wheels shock mount...

otherwise Im baffled.
