I know its late, typos do occur.

I definitely made sure it wasn't because I know how crazy some test drivers get when they get their hands on an Evo. Especially the ones who just go in there to drive one for fun and cannot actually afford one.
Mine had just came off a trunk and was still coated in plastic. Never driven by anyone but myself and the guy who moved it off the trunk.

Also I am assuming you mean they moved it off the truck not "trunk." That would be one hell of a trunk for a evo to be in it
Heh... you got me there.
As for $27,559 for an IX-GSR.... thats roughly $4,500 under MSRP. If you got the car that cheap i'd be amazed. I've seen lots of these threads but have never seen a non-family price of anywhear near that cheap.
I could be wrong. But thats way below what they're showing on that link i posted which are only 10 days old.

I knwo at that price its a steal!. I know alot of people here locally in san diego that payed more for their used evo 8's than what I payed for my brand new 9. I know this one guy payed over 36grand after ttl for a used 05 with 8000miles on it. I was like omfg!
D0h.... that guy needs to learn how to deal with car salesmen.
I've always bought from the fleet manager before I got my Evo. I paid $500 over invoice for my 2001.5 Audi A4. $250 over on my 1999 Tacome TRD with the supercharger.
Fleet tends to be nice and BS free. You see the car, they show you the invoice, and they say what you can have it for with very very minimal haggling. Salesmen always try to screw you by dropping prices and then getting the money back on the finance end. Or on your trade.

Yeah tell me about it. I was seriously suprised at how much people get raped for.
My friend went to el cajon mitsu one day and flamed the sales guy. haha
The funny thing was it was the same sales guy who tried to sell me a used 05 gsr for 35grand.

This thread sucks.
2006 Lancer Evolution IX published invoice price = $29593
2006 Lancer Evolution IX w/SSL published invoice price = $32293
The PUBLISHED invoice price is typically higher than the dealer actually pays Mitsu for the car. There are dealer holdbacks, volume promotions, advertising bonuses, etc offered by Mitsu Motors to the dealers throughout the year that give the dealer a sales margin to work with. This is why dealers can sell cars at or even below "invoice" and still make a profit.
Had you gotten in on the South Coast "March Madness" sales, you could have gotten an IX ("GSR") for $27393+$595 Destination ($2200 UNDER invoice). Or you could have chosen an IX with SSL for $29704+$595 Destination ($2589 UNDER invoice).
Those deals at South Coast are long over. But for a realistic negotiated price at your local dealer, aim for the published invoice price.

IX GSR invoice price including destination: $30218.43 (this is what everyone should try to pay for a EVO IX GSR). The sticker price is $32024.00. There is only $1805.57 in mark up in a IX GSR with no added eqipment.
This invoice price does not include any rebates, tax, title, lisence, dealer fee, or service fee.

You mean to tell me that you paid $31,500 including tax and title on a car that stickered out at $35,114. You either included your down payment on that $31,500 number or the dealer lost thousands to sell you a new Evo IX SSL. I don't think so. Take a second look at your contract.
This is getting stupid. I will post MSRP and invoice of a IX GSR tomorrow afternoon.
No, he's serious. When I got my 06 IX SSL I paid $33K, Hell of a deal if you ask me.

i got my ix MR at southcoast for under 35k OTD during the march madness sale. two dealerships in the bay area didn't wanna budge on the MSRP. go for the volume dealerships, they can give really good deals.
