Anyone running the Driveshaft Shop's 500hp rear Axles on their Evo? I might pick up a set, probably a good idea. For $699 you can't go wrong!
Have you decided what you are going to do about the transfer case or tranny? If you find a good enough aluminum welder, you have a chance (a slim one) that they could be successfully re-used. You might be better off shelling out the cash for a new transmission housing and transfer case housing (the empty aluminum housings with no gears inside) and just swap over your internals. Good lucK!

As for the tranny and X-fer cases, I'm probably going to end up sending them out to Shep and letting him have his way with them. the tranny has a 5th gear grind anyway, and I don't want a x-fer case to rip apart on me 2 days after re-installing everything. The tranny only needs a bellhousing, the main case is fine. If I am going to hit my 500 goal, having those rebuilt seems like a good idea. Especially since this car will see ALOT of track time.
