WARNING: I was cheated by www.lancershop.com!!!

Hello all,

I just wanted to post this to let you know what happened with me and www.lancershop.com and warn you guys in case of future buys.

I bought several parts from them and told them to ship them to New York City by May 15th. I am in Brazil, but a friend of mine was in New York and was bringing it for me (I was supposed to go but in the last minute I had to cancel it). So, most of the parts arrived but one was missing.

I had specifically told the vendor that if they could not deliver it by the 15th, I would not buy the part. Lancershop told me that they had everything in stock and would not be a problem. They assured me everything was in stock and it would be shipped right away (right after I paid them by wire transfer because they do not accept credit cards from abroad).

One part was missing (valve springs and retainers) and the part arrived on the 19th (after my friend left). So I ended up not getting the part.

Three things happened:

1. The order was accepted on the 8th of May (two days after they received the wire).
2. They assured me the parts would be there before the 15th (they had 7 days). I chose the most expensive shipping method so that the parts would arrive on time.
3. They shipped the springs and retainers from Florida on the 17th (TWO DAYS AFTER THE DEADLINE I GAVE THEM) – my friend had left New York City already. The FedEx tracking number is: 696428979623
4. I told them I would give the part back and asked them for a refund and they want to charge me 25% re-stocking fee, even though it was THEIR MISTAKE!!

I am glad I only spent US$1000,00 with them, because who knows what would happened if I bought more parts. The missing part was US$269,95.

I recently spent a lot of money with www.evolutionm.net vendors (Vishnu for example sold me Xede w/ Smart upgrade and shipped them ASAP – in two days after I placed the order super fast and reliable service) and I am very disappointed with www.lancershop.com.

I feel that I was cheated and that www.lancershop.com should not tell lies to clients just to make some extra sale. They should have told me: “sorry I don’t have this part in stock” and that would be fine! If they did this to me with a part that only costs US$269,95 imagine what they can do to people who purchase larger amounts.

There is no way in sending the part to Brazil because customs down here is very corrupt and they stop everything that comes in and out and wait for a “commission” plus 130% taxes. That is why an EVO down here costs US$80,000.00. Also when you travel, you are allowed by law to carry merchandise back with you for a total of US$1k.

That’s it.

Wow, a couple days late and you're complaining? And you wanted to send the parts back because of this? Am I the only one who thinks this is a little retarded? This thread should be deleted. I have been waiting for brake pads for over 2 months from an unnamed vendor, and have yet to post anything in the forums. Get a life.

I though the same thing as I read this post, I don't think it is anything to make a huge deal over. I have heard of people waiting MONTHS for stuff.

I don't see anything wrong with a member sharing his negative/positive experiences with a vendor on here. Hard earned money is not something that should be taken as a joke. When a vendor makes a promise or lies it should not negatively effect the customer.

This guy should not have to pay a restocking fee because they fubarred. That's the bottom line. He's not the first person to have something negative to say about lancershop. Posting things like this gets a vendor's attention and likely resolves the issues so the vendor looks good.

The point is he paid extra to ship ASAP and they promised to have eveything by the 15th. That in my eyes' is a problem.

If you have a requirement, and the business agrees that they can do it, then they need to follow through. A 25% restocking fee is an insult if it was their mistake, and they missed a deadline.

Unhappy I empathize

Try living out of the US and you would understand the pain.

It's one thing to order something and it arrives late here in the US. It's another thing to order something expecting it to be brought "free" of cost by a friend to then have to PAY to have it shipped INTERNATIONALLY (very costly), then PAY customs and whatever other hidden costs there may be.

It's not a retarded post, just one that you cannot relate to.

I agree, if a vendor says there are going to do something, then do it.

If you dont care about your hard earn money, some day your money will not care about you. Too bad you had to wait for so long for your parts, maybe you should buy from another, more reliable source. By the way, did you read the thread? There is no way in getting the part to Brazil, unless you want to bring it down here for me.... or give me US$300 to pay for the custom charges. Also, call evostore.com and you will get your pads in one or two days!

I agree with Choa, if a vendor says there going to do something, then they should stand by there agreement. At the very least, they should have refunded his money without a 25% fee.

Okay, maybe I misunderstood the post, and I appologize. I guess I didn't realize how difficult it may be getting stuff to a different country.

As for my situation, trust me I have threatened to go elsewhere, and when I did so they emailed me back telling me the pads were getting shipped out that day. We'll see.

Anyway, I still don't think a restocking fee is that bad. They did ship out the parts after all, even if they were late. But I'm sure it still sucks. In my experience I haven't had any problems with lancershop, but I haven't had a situation like yours either. Getting parts a couple days late isn't that big of a deal for me. Wish it could be the same for you.

Yea those folks at Lancershop are EXTREMELY lazy about checking on their in-stock items. I've had to call them back a week after ordering parts to find out they weren't in stock. They seriously need some help with customer service...

Every other time I've ordered from them I've called directly and had them physically check their stock before I ordered. No problems since then.
