Road Side Assistance?

I see on the Mitsu website the evo comes with 5 yr roadside assistance....

question is...has anyone really used this? and how does it work? i see some ppl posting about the ic piping blowing off and sort of limping to where ever they goto go.... but does anyone acutally call roadside? or is it a useless feature?

I have. they sent a a person out to help me get in the car when my friend locked the keys in the trunk. No cost to me, and we were camping in the middle of nowhere.

I used it once so far. My damn compustar alarm decided it wanted to lock my keys in the car while running. They were there within 30 minutes to have it unlocked, and were actually quite nice about the whole deal. The only money I paid was to tip the guy for being really careful to not damage anything...

They send you a card soon after you get the car. It has a toll-free number. I have not used it, but I keep the card in my sunvisor. I expect that Mitsubishi contracts with various independent tow companies to get you help. Those may be the same independent tow companies that other manufacturers use. If so, then roadside assistance should be equivalent among all such manufacturers, I would think.
