speaker adapter brackets... where did you get yours?

I have some 6.5" Polks that I need fitted in the front and rear, and I'm looking to get the adapter brackets. Who makes a good, sturdy one?

This is total ghetto hack, but it worked for me when I didn't have access to any: I hacked the internals out of the crappy OE speakers and used them as braets for my JL components. Sounds great, but took a lot of cutting.

Anyway, good luck. Its been three years since I've done mine, and I'm sure there are a ton of sources to make it happen. Crutchfield comes to mind; you might check there.

Mine didn't come with factory speakers
I'm considering just mounting the speaker by one of the mounting holes in the rear deck. I'm not sure if thats feasible in the front? The 6.5's just don't have enough "lip" to reach all 3, or two mounting holes for that matter.
Crutchfield has some pretty bad reviews of their brackets on their website, which got me scared.

I just went down to the local Best Buy and talked to one of installation guys. They don't actually sell the adapters but he hooked me up with 2 pairs they use for installations and charged me a $5 "materials fee". Worked out real nice

Lucky! I went and got 4 online, $35!! It'll be nice to have some tunes in the RS, but I wasn't really looking to spend the $ that I am on this setup.

Wow, you got ripped. The adapters are abs plastic and you can get them for the evo or anyother car for about $5 for two.

metra makes the one's we use at work, so naturally i would recommend them. Someone post a link of what the factory speaker looks like, and i will give you a part number for the adapter.
