clicking noise in reverse ?

it is your reverse idle gear assembly.are all you evo guys sixteen to twenty;crazynoises coming from cars is the cars way of telling you somthing is wrong.im talking major noises; not a sqeak in the seat. get with it.

I have the clicking as well...doesnt do it all the time, but I have heard it and sometimes its one click or many clicks?...The sound comes from the rear. I thought it might be something with the e-brake assembly? So def. not acd related since I dont have acd

It never concerned me but it can be annoying sometimes especially when people look at you in a parking lot like your driving a piece of junk...which maybe we are? haha. Well hopefully someday someone narrows the culpret down

I get a soft "clicking" from all four corners of the car when i apply the brakes after rolling backwards, I'm assuming it's brakes. Possibly worn caliper pins and the pads are shifting in the caliper??? I also have a loud POPPING when i release the clutch hard in revers.

guys i know this is an oldd oldd thread..but i am having these same problems and i am worried..what causes this?? any help would be greatly appreciated..its a bone stock evo 8 mr 2004.

i have the clicking, but like stated above it is the the brake pads shifting.
