Mitsu needs to make/bring over better cars, its that simple.
IMO the only car worth buying here in the US is the EVO cus its such a great performance bargain, or a GSX(ralliart eclipse concept) we will probably never be able to buy

Like it has been said before, the EVO is a low volume car. You go to a dealership and how many do you see 1 maybe 2. Its like the Corvette, Mitsu doesnt really make money of it, it's there to hype up the Mitsu image. IMO though they really need to just revamp the whole MMNA, basically everything that has come out lately has been BS. NTM there marketing department sucks. Over half the general population I know doesnt even know what an EVO is and it had been out 3 years, lol and now they know the EVO as a RWD drift machine thanks to 2F2F.

Mitsu is not leaving the US anytime soon.

At least not before Toyota buys out GM.

toyota buying out gm? that would be second greatest move in automotive history. the first, of course, being the assembly line for the model t.

I had to laugh when reading Mitsu's spin on the 6% sales decrease figure. Read it yourself:

RALLY ON ///////////////

I don't think that Gillans departure is actually bad news for Mitsubishi, Mitsu is going to be better of with Japanese running the show, Americans have no clue what their own public really needs. Take a look at GM or Ford, they are getting beaten up in their own backyard by imports simply because they look better, are more reliable, offer longer warranties, pretty much more bang for the buck.

Look at the current Galant and what they have done with him? That car won't sell, period, it's simply ugly and for that same price range you can get at least a better looking car such as new Camry, Accord, or even the new Hyundai Sonata... And Galant has always been the volume leader in recent Mitsubishi US sales.

Good news in it all is that the new cars such as Eclipse and even the damn Raider truck seem to be selling a bit better, I see no hope for all the other cars. All the previous generation cars will see a decline as Mitsubishi needs to release the new Outlander, Lancer, Endevour, and Galant with modern designs that actually will appeal to people and be genuinely attractive and not some box-like/squared looking exteriors.

The new outlander is pretty popular in Japan so I hope it does so well in America...
