What do Lotus Elise drivers think about the Evolution IX?

I wouldn't worry about what some Elise owner said. Those cars weigh about 2200 lbs, if that. Those cars were basically made for the track, not daily driving. At 2200 lbs and tuned for the track, anything is going to feel imprecise and heavy.
As for being gutless as someone mentioned, they're every bit as quick as a stock Evo or STi/STI. They have an excellent power/weight ratio. To give an idea as to how quick they are, a 280 hp version was just released ($80,000!) and will run the 1/4 mile in 10.80s.
On top of that, my main reasons that I wouldn't buy one, besides typical Lotus quality, are that they have a Celica motor (I don't care how reliable a Celica motor is....), basically no interior trim, and that I think it looks like a Matchbox.
