actually, where i'm from, the COPs aren't allowed to let you see your speed, nor see their radar; they're not even supposed to tell you what you're at fault for, except have it written on the ticket...

(i.e. a cop pulls you over and tells you that you were speeding instead of telling you the corrective measure, to tell you watch your speed.)

they're there not to tell you what traffic violations you did wrong, but to try to correct them before it gets out of hand...

this information was given to me by my uncle, an officer for the sheriff's department...

... and by the way, he gets rid of most my "GAY" tickets if he knew the officer that pulled me over is a dick head who hates minorities...

 

Man...i must be a smooth talker, i've been pulled over atleast 20-30 times, and i have still yet to get a ticket, lot of these are bogus pull over's, but probably 10 of em had been some sort od moving violation.....knock on wood

 

Man, I hate tickets. I got pulled over about 2yrs ago in my 01 Supercharged Impala. No governor on it and about 450hp so going fast on the highway was just too easy. I got pulled over 2miles from my exit doing 145 in a 70. 4 highway troopers pulled me over at gunpoint thinking i was doing some drug trafficing going that fast at 3 am(yeah right). That was the scariest thing I ever went through in my life. I got the ticket dropped to 85 in a 70 since it was my first offense and my lawyer is awesome. But I don't speed anymore.

 

join the Army! Your military ID is almost better then a PBA card. Some good **** when you join. This doesn't mean you will never get a ticket obviously you can't be stupid especially when talking to the cop. You have to remember be nice and resepct him, and come up with an origional excuse. Or if you got the guts which is all or nothing run from him if you konw the back street better then him. Especially If he has to turn around, just pull in to a hidden driveway or something and chill for a while and go talk to the people in the house so they dont call the cops on you, pretend to do a survay or something crazy. I dont adivise this becuase they do have radios, and in california they have the helicopters. But for us east costers works every time if your quick. Another point is invest in an expensive Radar Detector, Like Bell series. Saves your *** more then i ever imagined. Its like paying a ticket in advance with the leasure of no points on your driving record or insurence!
If you are a speeder be smart about it and dont do stupid things like race down the fast lane waiting for some old lady to pull in to the fast lane while you hit her. Be a awair driver especially when speeding, remember they dont have to always be in front of you keep checking the mirror. Another major thing is the stickers on your car, if the cop is offended your chances of getting a ticket are a hell of a lot more likely. Get a United States Army sticker, keeps the cops of my back, and also with my military ID its great.
getting out of tickets is also a challange. If its a serious ticket with points and a lot of money GO TO COURT. Most times the Officer doesnt show up becuase he doesnt want to waste his time. Also be nice as hell to the cops the more tickets the more paperwork and believe me IT IS A LOT.

Got a speeding ticket yesterday afternoon on the Garden State Parkway. Cop said he caught me on laser, doing 91 at a 55mph zone. I have a Valentine 1, and it didn;t go off at all. Every other time a cop has used radar/laser, this thing has given me warning. I am absolutely sure I wasn't going 91mph, and I'm sure my car wasn't shot with laser. How can I prove this? I should have asked to see the laser gun, but didn't. I was in a big cluster**** of cars too, which weren't going too fast. When the cop came out (he was in the left divider, and I was in the left lane), the Maxima in front of me pulled over onto the left shoulder (I guess he thought he got caught). The cop pulled around him and flashed the lights on me. I do drive a bright red Evo.....

Any tips on how I can beat this ticket?
Another thing, I am in NJ, and I have a PA driver's license. After giving me the ticket, he says since you live in PA, you can just mail payment in. Call the court to see how much it is. Ticket is $233. I'm not just gonna take it in the ***.

 

yeah i got one 2--91 in 65--goin to court on the 7th to fight it--at least try to get the points down

 

Before the evo I had a nicely modded impreza rs. I pulled a quick left turn in front of the kent police dept. traffic was pretty heavy so I stepped on it pretty good as not to get hit. The b*****d gave me a ticket for doing 41 in a 35. And it was his be estimated guess. Even the judge laughed after a 155.00 fine and no points, told me to slow down.
