Its because just using a grounding kit is only part of it. Go to the link I posted, do the Big/magic 3 and your electrical system will be a lot better, for sure. All the audio junkie do this and this is how to cure weak electrical systems.

I read your link to the Big 3 and it was very interesting. I've known about the larger gauge cable to the block and chassis, but didn't think about the wire to the alternator. What size fuse did you use for your alternator to battery cable set up?

I have yet to do my alt, power wire. I have did the alt. ground and the battery ground. I was going to use a 120A or 150A fuse. Most people on that board were using a fuse rated a little higher then their stock alt. fuse.

Okay, I can see the need for this if you plan to install a big thumping audio system.

Yeah, its basiclly for problems that stem from stereos, but even if you didnt have a audio system then it would still make you electrical system more stable and stronger.
And that probably make a really consistent spark and a great ground, which (according to ground kit manufactures) makes power.

And all of the electrical modifications in the world won't change that. The A/C compressor doesn't run on electricity, it's driven mechanically by the engine.

True but the alternator when under excess load causes a loss in idle which then strains the AC and other parts on the drive belt.
