SLK32 AMG's are hella nice cars. I didn't realize they were that fast through the traps. I was REAAALY close to buying one of those too. Something about Hard top convertibles gets me excited. BUT to keep things in perspective the SLK 32 AMG is a $55,000 car. It's a beauty but definitely much more expensive than an Evo.

How's the build quality in your SLK? I've heard horror stories from some people that it's not very good. When I sat in it at the dealership it felt great.

 

It actually stickers for like $60K. It's pretty expensive new, but I was absolutely stunned at how quickly they depreciate! Mine stickered for $59K, was only 5 months old, and I picked it up for $42K!

It's got 10k on it now and so far the build quality is so-so. There are a lot of things about this car that **** me off, but knock on wood no problems other than the turn signal lamp popping out at 80mph and smashing the fender. I've got an appointment for that at the dealer, though. The biggest annoyance is the lack of automatic climate control. How can you not have this in a convertible, let alone a Mercedes Benz convertible!?!?
