Why So Many Evo Owners Blow Stock Engine?

I Blew The 03'' Evo Stock Engine And It Had Around 370whp W/methanol Tuned By Someone Whos Good At.,,,the Reason Is To Too Much Stress On Piston...,

And One Of My Friend O5'' Evo, He Blew The Engine ,380whp Without Using Methanol .....reason-- Weak Piston.

And One Of Evo7 Professional Builder Told Me He Knows 7 People Already Blew The Enigne For Same Reason, Which Is Weak Stock Piston.,,

So It Seems Like Anyone Whos Pushing More Than 350whp , You Have A Chance To Blow The Enigne....due To Weak Piston That We Have On 4g63.

Anyone Out There Who Blew The Engine For Same Reason?

I Want To Have 3''tbe And Intake And Get Tuned On My Evo 9 Mr....but I M Afraid To Do So, Because I Would Be Pushing Like More Than 370whp By Just Doing This Simple Mods.....and Dont Wanna Blow The Engine This Time!

You won't push 370whp with those mods unless you turn up the boost and use race gas or alky/meth.

It Seems Like All Of Evo Tuners And All The Aftermarket Parts Vendors Dont Want Us To Know The Fact That We Could Blow The Engine At This Level Of Whp,,.

I Think They Just Interested In Making Money,,,

WHY NOT? ITS EVO9 MR....BIGGER TURBO AND MIVEC ENGINE,,,,,AND ITS MR

YEAH~ MAYBE 350WHP....
ANYWAY ITS STILL DANGEROUS LEVEL OF WHP FOR STOCK ENGINE. IF YOU DRIVEN HARD DAILY FOR LIKE A YEAR! THATS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME ON MY EVO8

Since an MR makes it faster and all. I would expect more from an evolved member

This again... So out of what, 2 cases, you deem all evo engines to be weak? Plus you think BPUs result in 370whp?

I have a suggestion. Stop smoking crack.

Anytime you increase the HP stock engine you risk blowing it. The greater the HP the greater the risk is a good rule, but obviously it depends on the mod.

Not all stock engines and transmissions and other parts are the same. It is impossible to do.

Heres the kicker..

Its really hard to know if the parts or assembler who you put your engine together are at one end of the Bell curve or the other in terms of reliability.

So you just have to go by the stats. If 90% of the evos on the road with similar mods to yours do ok, then you can sleep peacefully for 90% of your normal sleep cycle, and spend the other 10% sweating like a child molestor spending his 1st nite in prision...

I'm sorry man, but you must be delusional if you think you can make 370whp on the stock turbo with pump gas. It can be done no doubt, but only if you use race gas or alky/meth. And so what if its an MR? They don't make any more power than regular 9's.

mr and base gsr's have the same motor, same turbo...so the only difference is the suspension and drivetrain...and what do you mean buy blowing the piston...be a little more specific...do you mean the whole thing shattering into pieces or something like that?...is it possible that the rod bolts gave out and shot your piston to your valves?...pics would be nice imo

There are NO GUARANTEES!! in modding a vehicle. Some people crack a ringland, spin a bearing, break a rod, at 350whp, why? There are too many variables to know the answer.

Why do some Cobra motors last at 800whp+ and others blow with a pulley swap? Same goes for Ls1's, why?

Just know with a safe tune you can minimize your chances, but know that there are NO GUARANTEES!!
