Transfer case fluid on driveshaft....where is it coming from?

I recently changed all my drivetrain fluids and just happened to notice one small drop of what appeared to be transfer case fluid.
So, I thought I had not tightened down either the fill or drain bolt. So i jack up my car
and crawl under neath it only to find that there are no residual marks ANYWHERE of any fluid near or around either bolts. I Simple Green everything after i'm done with fluid changes and there was no fluid that seemed to travel anywhere to where the drip was. I did notice one even smaller drip on the first half of the drive shaft, and the other was where the first set of hangers are for the exhaust, just before the cat. Again understand, I looked at all possibilities of where the fluid may have traveled from and found none.
I also posted this in another thread but had no responses.

Pic of the drain (no residue):

Terrible pic of the fill bolt: (no residue):

Well it might be that a little dripped on the driveshaft when you initially changed the fluids?

How would I get the fluid on the drive shaft?

Everything is always Simple Greened after I am done with fluid changes. I have actually wiped it down and gone out and come back to find it again.

I thought I may have over filled it so I just went and drained my TC and refilled it with Dia Queen, lowered the car and let it dribble out , then put the fill plug back in.

Any other ideas?

Well, hoping that I had over filled it, I drained the fluid out again and refilled it w/ Dia Queen. Cleaned everything up w/ Simple Green and took the car for a drive. Came back and the drip is back. If I leave it alone, the drips accumalate(sp) and drip onto the floor.

Some one has to be able to shed some light on this for me, it's driving me crazy.

I do know that it is dripping from the driveshaft onto my hanger, but how the hell is it getting onto my drive shaft?

when you filled the tc was the car leveled? Or did u jack it up on the side and fill it? You may have over filled it.. What you do is, you jack it up on the side fill it up, then level the car. Once fluids starts coming out, let it flow out until its at the proper level.. If that doesnt work, then you have a leaky tc...

I did exactly what you mentioned above. In case I did have a leaky TC, where would I be looking or what would be the culprit? Thanks.

Not bad at all. Like I said, if I wipe it down and then go out for a drive, I park it and usually in a half hour you will see the fluid start to form on the lower exhaust hanger. If I let her sit over night, I have about 4 drops of fluid on the floor. There is NO WAY in hell the dealer is gonna even look at my car w/ the mods I have.

Sad to, beacuse I only have 16k miles.
