Greddy Type-S Flutter

I have the Greddy Type-s bov on my evo 8 running 19psi and it flutters pretty much until I accelerate again. At first it didnt bother me and I kind of got a kick out of it because I am not leaking boost or anything but the sound is driving me insane. This bov used to be on my wrx and it sounded great with a very sharp sound.
I have the adjustment screw turned almost as tight as it will go the screw is about half way inside the 10mm nut.
Anyone have any ideas?

Most people will suggest getting an IX stock/JDM MR DV.

Ah why? This DV, once adjusted properly, will work great. As long as its not VTA its fine.

I don't personally have any valuable input, but every time I see threads about BOVs it seems to turn out that way. =)

VTA BOVs are bad (i.e. HKS SSQV). If someone is looking for a DV I recommend IX (JDM MR), APS, or a Forge. However, in this case, he already has a good one - just needs to adjust it some.

First thank you smikeevo... Also I agree with everyone saying bov's are bad or a waste of money but I had to buy it for my wrx because at 18psi the stock was leaking and I figured why not put it on the evo and leave it recirculating

i have a forge dv on my evo 9 and connected it to my injen intake and uicp and i love it cause you could hear it more than stock and you could hold more boost if you ever wanted to go boost crazy.

sounds like you have it adjusted too tight!
I'm running both springs and have mine adjusted towards the top(looser)

There was a write up about single spring mod along time ago. take it apart at
the allen screws there are two spring in there leave the lightest one in there
I think it is the tallest. Put back together, screw should only be turned in three
turns.Mine hold boost up to 30psi.good luck. If this does not make sense
do a adv search under single spring

Yea, single spring mod should take care of your problem.
