Wonder if the new year model will have 315 Hp and 6 speed?? Have to top Subaru after they topped us. Already have the 315 motor on the spyder show car???

 

Topped us? Show me a magazine that shows the STI as the clear winner. Hell, half of the magazines show the Evo as the winner.

I wouldent get too excited about anything happening for the MY04 Evolution, its going to be the same as the MY03.

Don't expect to see any changes untill MY05 or MY06, they will probably use the "Evo IX" body style when they beef up the Evolution to retaliate towards the WRX STi.

 

yeah man do some more reading dont just think HP= faster its not true. Plus the Evo handles better then the STI. Do some reading before you make assumptions

I'm happy with the Evo's 271 right as it is. 45 more horsepower would just mean more money.......however if it was offered for the same price I wouldn't complain.

PS: The blue STI with the gold rims yikes

Strictly looking at it as a selling point. We all know how easy it is to tune a EVO. I would be happy to have 271 + 6 speeds.

 

Ok then...

STi = 300hp/2.5l = 120 hp per liter

Evo = 271hp/2l = 135.5 hp per liter.

Am I missing something?

 

You mean they already didnt do anything. Mitsu didnt top subaru in anything but good handling characteristics. Car and Driver said the STi actually changed lanes better then the EVO and had less body roll.
