Any cons in using Torco race additive?

Did some searching regarding Torco and have found a lot of info about it as well as nothing but praise for it as it actually works in raising octane, but I am curious to know if there are any negatives in using this additive?

no negative side effects other than leaving a brown rusty residue on your plugs and on the pistons.

It's some goos stuff i run 12oz in every tank just for good measure.

^ +1, 12 oz will not make a difference, I ran Xylene w/ mix trans fluid. Seems to work best.

Actually 12oz of the torco accelerator in 10g of 91 will raise it to 94octane wich is a nice safety margin when all you have is 91

xylene works, but with gas prices going down its actually cheapr to just mix in some race gas....

Umm where did you get your information?

Torco issues the following numbers

Resultant Octane Mix 32oz Torco Accelerator
97 Octane add to 20 gallons of 93 octane gas
104 Octane add to 10 gallons of 93 octane gas
107 Octane add to 5 gallons of 93 octane gas

using the same ratio with 91
Resultant Octane Mix 32oz Torco Accelerator
95 Octane add to 20 gallons of 91 octane gas
102 Octane add to 10 gallons of 91 octane gas
105 Octane add to 5 gallons of 91 octane gas

Using the same ratio with 91 but onl 12-16oz accelerator
95.125 Octane add to 10 gallons of 91 octane gas

each oz of accelerator into 10g will raise it .34375 points therefore

.34375x 12oz =4.125 point increase
.34375x 16 oz= 5.5 point increase
