My IX squeeked for about 700 miles or so.... but never after that. However, switched to Friction Performance pads and damn, it hurt my ears even with the radio on. Other cars would roll their windows up. Now I switched to Hawks and they are ok. Little squeel mainly when the pads are warm, and I am braking real easy, also for some crazy reason, when I am at full turn (like parking) and braking.

+1.
Improper bed-in process is the main reason they squick and have steering wheel pulsating while braking @ high speeds.

I bedded my brembos on the second day I bought the car.
My brembo hardly squicks.
Very seldomly @ slow speeds..but very seldom.

The manual says that they WILL squeak, but its not as bad as you may think. Theyre performance pads. Get some cheap ones from kragen if you have a problem

I installed these pads last week. After 4-5 days of use they squealed rediculously loud. Today, I sprayed the backs of the pads with brake quiet, and installed the stock shims (sprayed both sides of the shims with brake quiet too).

I haven't heard any noise from them yet.

Squeal from the Brembo's is a tradoff for performance of large aluminum 4 piston fixed calipers. It is part of what you get....all of the remedies are band aids at best - sometimes they work - sometimes they don't. Proper bedding - disc brake quiet - it all can help but at least to some extent it is what it is. Squeal has nothing to do with the quality....it's just somewhat an unavoidable by product - just like a raspy exhaust - stiff ride - etc. You are buying what is very nearly a track ready race car - that comes with some trade-offs. If you can't handle that get a 3 series BMW.

Martin Grand is breaking track records in T2 with an EVO on STOCK SUSPENSION.....that is frankly unBELIEVABLE!

Have a nice day - turn up your radio,

I speak the truth
