Evo Center Consol Clock

I have an IX MR, im not sure if the same works for the GSR or the RS models but for the MR model, when the headlights are turned on, the clock gets dimmer. I like to keep my headlights on thoughout the day and when there on during the day, the dim clock is not bright enough for me to see, i have to cover the outside light with my hand before i can see the clock. but when the headlights are off, it is bright enough.

My question is, is there a way to not dim the clock while turning on the headlights? i want to keep the clock on its brighter setting all the time even with the headlights on

You could probibly find a different power source to run to the clock, from something that is always on, but if you leave your headlights on all day, the HID's will burn out faster, so I wouldnt recommend it.

yea all you have to do is bend back the LIG pin on the clock so when u put the connector back on it the pin doesnt go in the connector

How do I get at the clock?

Is there a thread in these forums showing how to take out the clock, so I can bend that pin? Does the dash need to be removed for that? Would appreciate links to any available how-to threads!
