No baffle - Straight pipe Catback?

Would adding a 3" stainless steel pipe from the decat (3") pipe to the rear of HKS Super Dragger back box on the IX give me any better gains as far as more free flow is concerned?

How much louder will this make the exhaust?

Any help/advice Please!!!!

TIA

yes thats the same thing as a test pipe. I believe that a testpipe gets about 10-15hp compared to the stock cat . When I added my testpipe I started setting off alarms from the vibrations.

less restrictions = better flow for exhaust = increase turbo efficiency.
It is noticeably louder.
This isn't a mod that you will see a 10hp gain...but as you add upgrades, this is one of those things that will help out overall.
With a complete TBE, and stock cat... you'll see couple less hp... then if you had TBE with test pipe.

I already have a 3" testpipe in place of the cat.

What I have at the moment is the HKS (2.5") downpipe, HKS super dragger 2 catback(2.75"); What I am asking is that on the catback piping there is what appears to be a baffle (or resonater?) before the rear backbox, by replacing this baffle with a 3" straight pipe (no baffle), will I get any more power via more free flow from the exhaust system?

Also, how much more louder will the exhaust get without the baffle?

Are there any gains?

TIA

Removing the resonator will make the exhaust much louder.

You'll get more gains by switching to a full 3" TBE than your setup.

Cutting out the resonator and replacing it with straight pipe won't yield any gains. It'l sound better though. I did this to my hks.
