In a way it kind of makes sense to have a little bit weaker of a clutch. They probably designed it to be the point of failure. Why risk ruining an entire drivetrain when you can just burn up a clutch.

No, its not a record, other bad drivers have killed clutches at 600 miles, IIRC.
For your info little 'kid' i do know how to drive, this is my 4th manual, go troll some teen forum.......For everyones elses info, I am in the process right now as the car is sitting in the shop, fighting with the dealership to replace the clutch at no charge. They are saying that to uninstall the bad clutch it will cost 1400..........just to take it out! They said if it looks like mfg error, everything will be covered, if its worn down, then nothing will be covered. I also have the BBB involved now as well as mitsubishi america.

reset your ecu with the intake on... and you should be ok, but you need a tune
