frustrated help!!!!

Hey I've been trying to figure out why my hks type 1 turbo timer won't keep the car running whne I take the keys out. Does the e brake wire ned to be hooked up for this to work? Thanks guys

Umm... Yea... Its designed so that if the ebrake is put down then the car turns off. If yours isnt even connected it thinks its constantly down and wont work.

just ground the ebrake wire, it doesnt have to be connected if you dont want too

Your problem kept happening to my tt and a friend and I took his wire strippers(just strips part of the casing off but leaves wire intact) and then twisted turbo timer wire with ebrake wire covered with electrical tape and no problems since. My hardwired V1 was acting up just turning off and on-did same thing and no problems since. Both devices used vampire clips which are crap and eventually as in my case just don't hold a contact anymore which in turn caused both problems.

The ebrake wire is both a safety device and a security device so noone gets in your car while tt is counting down and drive off.
