Well, just talked to my shop, and one of the tuners said that he thinks a Rod knock caused it. When it started to spool up i heard 5 fast sounds like when people shoot arrows, and then it blew, so he thinks aa rod stretched.

thats a valid point, but I dont think he was really boosting it since the motor blew at 4000 RPM's right?? correct me if I'm wrong

What a sad story and what a pity to hear
I think we will be seeing more such examples with tuners who have limited evo flashing experince learning the art on the customer's cars
Yes I still tune.
The problem with the distribution of the new software is that there is no barrier to entry, ANYONE can pickup a laptop and claim to be a tuner.
Track record says alot and speaking to others who have had their cars tuned helps also. Alot of these guys who claim to tune cars these days are nothing short of modern day conmen who rather than a bottled Elixr are trying to sell you a dream that will not materialize.
There is more than one tuner who can tune a car but only a few I would consider competent, please be carefull and check out who you are using before they cost you alot of money.
