Having some sort of wideband + egt setup should be mandatory with an alky system or an upgraded turbo in my opinion.

I think the stock ecu does have some limitations once you got past a certain point but a 50trim doesn't warrant AEM EMS in my opinion.

Sucks that you popped your motor but having ivey tune your car I think is the way to go.

I'm not gonna go, took the weather forcasts advice and made alternate plans.

Anyhow, sundays is a church/family day for me, I try not to get distracted by anything else on sundays. Lets shoot for e-town next saturday....

I'm gonna try to break that 12.2 record....and try driving/shifting differently

Here's the thing, I watched my tuner do a couple of pulls on the dyno and everything was fine, no weird sounds or whatever. So, I would think that the alky kit was working fine. It's connected to the failsafe and everything. After my local research they seem to be the best shop around here.

I doubt this was an ECU problem... a hole in the block to me sounds like a mechanical failure.

sucks to hear about your mishap bro. good luck with the 2.3l

Would it be possible that the engine just couldn't hold up to it? There was no knocking at all, and the tune seemed to be fine..
