clear bra questions
Are they worth the $$? Does it damage the paint when you have to take them off? Is it a POA to take care of it? Can you still drive your car through the car wash?

It is the best thing since sliced bread
. Worth every penny. You can drive through a frontal sandstorm with it on your car. Nothing will happen to the paint job
1. They are worth $ if you don't enjoy watching damn rock chips all over your car's front fascia.
2. Not sure about the damage part. I haven't taken them off yet and this is my first car to clearbra.
3. Maintenance is not anything special. You just wax it on a regular basis after you wash the car.
4. Please don't let you evo in auto-machine washes!

I definitely love having my clearbra. The rock chips on my 350z got so bad that I absolutely hated washing the car because I knew I'd always find more damage. The only maintenance is to keep it waxed. And, if it's well waxed the bugs and muck and crap basically just brush off. It really saves a lot of time when washing the car, and it's much more satisfying. I haven't, nor will I ever, take it through a machine wash, so no input there. But, I and three of my friends have clearbra on their cars and we all agree it's the best mod we've done.
dude yes its a great new invention...
I got my bra and tint for 550.00 and ive been haulin *** behind trucks to see if it works, and yep it does, I havent recieved any paint chips yet, its a very strong material and a good investment.
just make sure you clean the edges of the clear bra with a terry cloth or something.

Clear bra has been great for me. Had it installed at the dealership before I picked up the car. Six months and 6000 miles, and its great not to have to look at any rock chips. I wouldn't run my car through a car wash. Who knows how clean the water and brushes are. And the soap may be too strong. I'm pretty fanatical about keeping the my clear bra clean and waxed because its the best way to keep it from showing signs of aging. And clear bras are more susceptible to hard water staining.

Clear bra, FTW!
I got mine put on at about 350 miles on the car. Been loving the chip-free front ever since.
Clear bra can be removed by an installer WITHOUT damaging the paint.
Not sure why you have to use a car wash machine though... If you have to use one, make sure you use a touchless place. Touch places with all of their cloths and brushes are going to swirl up your paint and potentially screw up the clear bra. I do not think that would be the case with a touchless place though.
Ideally, you borrow a friend's garage or use yours if you have one and do rinseless washes.
The only real care the clear bra NEEDS is to be waxed once a year.
Also, another thing to consider is an installer's reputation for putting clear bras on to your type of car. You want somebody who has already done good work on your car model instead of someone with less or no experience. The quality of the installation is key.
