Traded mine on a SUV, then i realized that was the stupidest thing that i have ever done and i bought another one. This time i knew what and what not to do and i love this one even more.

Had a 03 VIII, blew the tranfer case... Decided to go with an 05 Sti, totalled it... Then bought the IX as soon as it came out... It was a nice little trip...

The SE has everything my VIII didn't, it has the HID, aluminum roof, bbs wheels, and all the upgrades that the IX has over the VIII. I like the SE because it has all the features that the MR has minus the weak 6 speed.

I'm thinking about geting a 05 Yellow Evo VIII, if I could find one with low miles at a decent price.

i dont care for the 6 speed too much, shifting is too easy, kind of a cheap feel....

i like the hot/cold knob on the 9, turns so much easier than the VIII

the 3 gauges, kind of useless, didnt really look at it closely till 7 months into owning the car and that it reads 70C cruising

I'm on my 3rd Evo (see sig with links for all of them). No major catastrophies except for a blown TC on my black VIII - which was drag raced. I sold it and picked up an '03 Cobra that I found to be a terrible daily driver / drag racer - especially in Indiana winters. I then picked up a new RR VIII. That one I gave up as I started a very high travel job and literally only spent weekends at home; the need for the "fun" car was no longer worth the cost. Now that I'm back to working local, I picked up an MR and am back in the game.

I was jealous of the IX improvements as well as the power they make. Plus I got a really good deal on the new one.

traded in my 03 8 and got a BR350 IX (#005). Why? You have to drive it to understand.

On my 2nd evo here. Traded 04 RS for 06 IX SE.
Also, IX does live up to their hype! So much more drivable w/ fatter pwr band. It feels strong even at stock level!

I traded cuz, I was too them careless w/ the RS. I first overheated the head and had to resurface it. But it developed a big oil leak under the block.
I still miss my RS. It was so raw and give you that hardcore sensation that my SE is missing.

BTW, both of evos have dash board rattles!!!

Bought the VIII used and it had all sorts of issues: Synchros, transfer case, oil leak, a few clutches and way too much time at the shop. After they voided my warranty I just said screw this and bought the IX. Haven't had any mechanical issues so far and I'm at 15k miles.

if for some reason my Evo's taken away from me tomorrow, i'll be back with another Evo on the driveway; maybe an VIII this time so i could build the hell out of it.

why another Evo? because there's nothing better on the market IMHO. 4 doors, awd, 5 seats, 4g63....cant beat it. i'd love to add a bunch of other cars on top of the Evo though..
