Looking for a certain BOV sound
I have run the type S VTA with both springs and it sounds just like that. The type S exactly what you are looking for. Your idle will stumble and the car will want to stall coming off the throttle running it this way, some of it can be tuned out. Reciculated it still has the high pitch, it's just a little muffled through the filter.+
No you are not supposed to do it, but the answer to your question is if you had a type S and vented it to atmosphere, yes it would sound just like that.

what you just heard on the supra clip is DEFINITELY a Greddy Type-S. I have one and it sounds just like that. Only a little weaker because the turbo is a LOT smaller than the one on that supra I'm sure and I'm not modded that much other than a boost controller. And my greddy is full recirc. Sounds just like that. I have an intake with a cone filter on so you can hear it as if it was VTA. No driving issues whatsoever.
And you guys hatin on the sound can kiss it. I love sound just as much as performance. I enjoy the sound of a turbo spooling and the blow off just as much as being pressed to the seat when I step on the gas pedal. Some of you have nothing valuable to contribute to a thread but bashing someone's likes and dislikes. Get a life.
