If no on e has mentioned it yet, if you are going with the Mitsu APR as soon as you get outta there go straight to your bank and get it refinanced to a lower APR.

I guess it's different for everyone, but best of luck to you with your choice.
Since when does the MR come with ayc? because here in america it doesnt.... Unless your just really confused or from another country you should know that

btw,
Thats a good price on the MR w/ se package....If you have the money go for it, you only live once so enjoy it while you can.

So you're going to be able to afford $500-600 a month for a car payment at 18 yrs old? Having enough money each month to pay that for a car is one thing....BUT....did you think about maintenance?? Oil changes, fluid changes, etc..

How about GAS!!!! That is huge...maybe $120-150 a month!!

AND if you are modding...forget about it. There goes the warranty for anything that goes wrong. How are you going to pay it? These cars are expensive! And clutches are not covered under any warranty....another $700-1,000.

If you think $500-600 a month is going to be it, you are in for a big awakening. It takes much, much more than that to keep an Evo running.

Take it from me. I started with an Eclipse GSX at age 21. I traded it for an Evo at age 24, which a full time job making decent money. I've had it for 3 years now and can tell you it takes some $$$$ to keep your Evo running well. And I still think it's alot of money for a car.

I don't see how you are going to do it, but good luck. You will be strapped for cash like never before.....

bump for my own post to be acknowledged. if you ignore this, you will highly regret it.

this guy might have saved up a decent amount and might now have to pay 500 a month. he might only need to pay 250 or 300. who knows how much he's saved.

however the maintenance bills are going to be more than you expect

why is everyone thinking I'm going to pay 500-600 a month for car payments...I've saved up money for 2 years...so my payments will be at most 350, but I'm looking at 275ish right now as we speak.

I'll be doing oil changes myself in my auto advanced class. All the maintanance I'll be doing myself as well as everything else...I know what to do, and if I dont know something...thats what EvoM is here for right?

gas is not a problem for me

modding...I'll be saiving here and there...I'm not gonna just go ahead and buy a R35 turbo off in the first month...it'll just end up getting there.

Why not go for a used, cheap car that you can completely thrash for a couple of years as you gain a bit more maturity?
actually I would diagree with this statment (for me atleast)

this isnt my first new car...I have a civic and it's alright.

My dad had a VIII MR...so I know the power of the car, it's amazing!

yes my age group is stupid and gets into accidents, but I've driven porches, ferarris, lambos, and a ton of mercedes when I work with my dad. So I have plenty of powerful car experience...not to mention I took a power-to-safty class when I started to learn stick...it tought me a lot, and it was fun.

Though I dont personally know you, I get a lot of people tell me that I'm actually too mature for my age, and that I should loosen up and be more, ummmm, wild and a kid. Though when I am with my friends I can act like a complete jackass

Question: is this car worth 2 MILLION bucks?

Seems ridiculous but if you do what you're suggesting that's what it'll cost you. Allow me to explain.

By putting 13K down and making 600/mo payments for 5 years (this includes insurance and I'm certain I'm being conservative) you'll spend a total of 43K. No biggie, right? Well, if you instead invested that same scratch in a solid mutual fund you'd have 64K by the end of those same 5 years (assuming 10 percent which is conservative if you choose good funds).

Now, let's take that 64K and assume you'd be a good boy by leaving it alone until you're 60. If you truly were that smart you'd have something over 2 million bucks.

The Evo is a great car but it ain't worth your future. Be smart - get yourself a 3K beater and toast your great future.

Oh man, I said it in another thread and Ill say it here. Why is it that EVERY kid that comes here has learned to drive on supercars and/or have had their racing license since the age of 12??? I learned to drive on a jeep, and Im glad I didnt have an Evo as a teen. I too was considered very mature, but I know looking back I would have never been ready for a high performance car. All it takes is one act of showing off. I could give two craps what happens to you, but when innocent parties get injured or killed, thats hard to deal with. Good luck with your choices, Ill end with my same ending to all would-be teen Evo owners: Its on you to prove us wrong.

actually...my dad rented a car that was manual...then about a few months later when I was actually perfect on everything...he took me to a class since he noticed I like to work on cars. So as a birthday/x-mas gift he took me to a place to learn how to control cars in the worst cases.

I only got to drive the supercars becasue my dad knows a lot of people around...and they like my dad...so they always let me go for a spin...and alone sometimes...so while my dad is talking to them, he is ****ing his pants while I'm driving
