***UPDATE***

so instead of going to the dealers today...my dad actually told me he knows a guy that owns a Mitsubishi...so all in all...If I get the car, I'll be getting it for cost price...and if you guys didnt know, cost price is about 5K-7K under invoice.

so I'm going to get a 32K car for about 24K in a few days...so hopefully this guy breaks in a says yeah to my dad...hopefully my dad was never a PITA to this guy and he sells it to us for that cheap. My dad was always nice to this guy...so hopefully I get it you guys

naw...I'm a safe drive...never been hit, never hit anything...never even curbed it...well just once when I was starting to drive.

I've been driving for 3 years with a perfect record...*knock on wood*

 

I promise you you wont get it anywhere NEAR 24k. Ive purchased cars with friends/fam discounts before, and its like 50 bucks under invoice...its not something you cant negotiate for regaurdless.

just tell us all the details once you get it, dont update this until you actually get the 'car'. when you get the 'car', then start telling us the whole story on how you got it ect ect..im getting tired of reading "oh ill be getting it tomrrow"(next day comes)"oh i couldnt get it cuz we didnt have gas and there was this UFO that bombed my bank"?..ehh..but yeah no offence to the OP.im just saying this thread is pretty much useless without the 'car' itself because it seems your all set now and know everything. until your next update. later peace

You can't tell an 18 year old $h|t! We were all 18 once... remember?

Your insurance is going to SUCK as stated already. Here's something to consider though. What if you get a ticket? What if you get two within a 3 year period? Do you know what thats going to do to your insurance? It's going to be way more than your car payment!

Call you insurance company and run some hypothetical situations by them and find out exactly whats going to happen your rate. You might take it easy on the civic when you find out how much a display of speed is going to cost in the long run.

Invest in a GOOD radar detector! Not full proof but i'll be a constant reminder to slow down.
