Br 350?
Br 350?
Hey all, just getting a sense of who has either the BR 330 or 350, how much it was and is it worth it? (which I know it probably is, heard good things) and also if anyone has modded it after and what the results were. Thanks!
I have an 06 BR350IX(#005)Apex silver w/SSL.Traded in my 03 8 for it at Medina MItsubishi(medina ohio). They were the first dealer to offer the BR cars. The car was 33.5 w/SSL and 3500 xtra for the BR350 package. Thats 37k out the door for a car that does 0-60 in 3.9, qrt mile mid 12,s.Bushur claims 12.6@110 but theres no doubt in my mind it will go quicker with a good launch. GGBaller, nothing personal but you have no idea what your talking about. How do you know its not worth it? Have you looked into them or ever driven one? I doubt it. For 37k i have car that will keep up or eat a lot of cars worth 5 x more. Ferarri, porsche, aston martin etc. This car is silky smooth as glass from idle to 7800rpm,s.It gets better than stock mpg,and like i said quick as a cat and smooth as glass.I,m just comparing performance numbers to the exotics i mentioned so dont come back and say o yeah like you would rather have a BR350 over an F430 or Aston Martin Vanquish or whatever. But anyone of those come against me at a light they are gonna be seriousely embarrased.(up to a certain point of course). The only mods i,ve done besides cosemetic,(wheels,CF pieces, etc.) is a BR licp. And i just put in an ACT clutch and flywheel. The best part is that all the performance parts are in the loan when you buy the car so your not paying anything else out of pocket when you get the car unless you keep modding. The BR350 is the yenko of import cars.IN fact it would eat just about every yenko, copo car that was ever made just the way they came from the dealer. That includes just about every muscle car ever made including a hemi cuda and such. Sure you can take those cars and put slicks, headers, cam change, head work and run elevens with them. But i can put less than 1k (one thousand dollars) in this car and run elevens all day along with handling, braking and just plain 10x better all around performance. With this new clutch i would bet my house that it will also go quicker than 3.9 to 60mph. I havnt had it to the track yet but when i go i,ll post the numbers. As far as the muscle cars go i know what i,m talking about.I,m gonna be 50 in may and have had my share. 67 camaroRS,69 ChevelleSS (600hp big block),buicks,01 camaroSS (modded)and a few others. I still have my 63 dodge 440(450hp,over 500ft. lbs.tq.). I,ve that car for 17 years and love it. So getting back to the subject,The BR350,s are incredible cars for the money and one of the best bangs for the buck in automotive history as far as ALL AROUND PERFORMANCE goes. NO stock corvette (c6) with 400hp is gonna run a 3.9 from 0-60 and a low to mid 12 unless he has slicks and maybe John force driving. The top end pull on these cars are fantastic as well. So after this long post the point i,m making is that if your thinking about buying a BR350 its a no brainer.I,ve had mine for a year this week with 8500 miles on it and it feels smoother and faster and quicker everyday i drive it. I,m sure any other owner of one that reads this will agree with me. Thanks again Dave Buschur and the guys there(Buschur Racing)Big Al,and Medina Mitsubishi for having the ***** to sell these SILKY SMOOTH BEASTS!

I think the point is, you could pick up a 9 GSR for 27,999 at South Coast Mitsubish, and spend $3,500 on it and have a just as fast / potentially faster car. I dont think anyone is debating that the BR series cars are awsome, but certainly you can build cheaper evo.
Different strokes for different folks.
I would have to agree. The only real advantage that I see is a warranty on the parts, when most of the time you can buy a regular evo and buy aftermarket parts that come with warranties anyways. So there goes that advantage. I mean it is the same way with buying an aftermarket turbo kit that is ready for your car when you could piece together you own for the same price or even cheaper that is gonna have a lot greater potential in the long run. But thats just me. I agree that the BR 330's and 350's are probably amazing cars and I have tons of respect for Buschur and that will never change. I just couldnt see myself getting one, that is all.
thats very true. But these are serial numbered BR edition cars. And you never know whats gonna happen in the future with the tuner market.Look where its gone just over the last couple of years.Knowone who bought a Motion Camaro, COPO Camaro or chevelle, yenkoSC nova would have dreamed in a million years that there everyday monster beaters and track cars would be worth the money they are now. I,m not saying that a BR350 is gonna be worth a half million dollars in the future, but hey you never know. Believe me i was thinking about just getting a IX from my local dealer where i bought my 03 8 from and modding it to my satisfaction, but the fact that i could buy a modded car thru the dealer with this kind of performance in the financing and have a serial numbered edition car made up my mind for me. And i foregot to mention, this car makes this power with the stock cat. conveter.
