Fighting a ticket?

Hi All!
The other day got stopped by a newbee cop, he had his trainer with him.. I asked him why I was getting stopped for and after 5 or 10 seconds looking for an answer he told me that my i didn't have the proper exaust. So I asked him waht was a proper exaust and again after 5 to 10 sec. he said that it was just too loud. I have the Greedy evo2, catless and it sounds almost identical to stock. The guy was an a$$ so i'm taking it to court. Any suggestions? I want to get the noise measured and find out what's the max db for Florida but i don't know where to go.
Thanks!

It was about noise pollution not about emissions. He could had a Wyoming plates which don't require emissions testing.

And why must everyone on here "fight" tickets. He has aftermarket exhaust. So don't ***** when you get a ticket for it. Fighting it could only bring you more harm.

Just pay it.

Its a non-point violation. Why fight it? So that next tiem that cop see you doing 2mph over he can pull you over and write you a ticket? Then you can fight it and get the same judge that wont let you reduce it? Just pay the simple ticket save your fighting for the tickets worth fighting.

I work in this field, I know how officers remember cars.

Do exhaust tickets hit your insurance premiums?

Did he write off the ticket as an altered exhaust system or that the exhaust was too loud??? If he wrote the latter then maybe by performing a db test (the cop should had one with him anyways) and having proof that the exhaust system you have is within the legal db limit (which I doubt, especially running catless but who knows? ) then you can fight it in court without the need of hiring a lawyer fo' sho .

Just pay it. Maybe getting a hi flow cat would help the noise? I know, you don't want to give up the power. Look at the bright side, you can afford to own an evo. Stock, that car could annihilate my little ES. As someone who's gotten enough stupid tickets, I agree to save the fighting for the tickets that are worth fighting.

I know in Texas when you fight a ticket 85% of the time the cop don't show up to court and then the ticket will get dismissed. If I was you I would put the stock exhaust back on the car and play stupid. I have been pulled over for stupid stuff all of the time but they never give me tickets for it. I think that they just want to check out the car. Good Luck

You may just be better off just payin the ticket. It isn't like it is going to go on your record. It could be worse. Pick and choose your battles.
