3to4 gear grinding

3to4 gear grinding

cant figure it out my 3 and 4 gear is grinding a little at high RPm any solution? Maybe because I need a new clutch.

it's your synchros.. very common! It is covered under the 6/60k powertrain warranty

After looking @ his sig, I highly doubt his warranty is still valid.

Like the person above me said it's probably your synchros.
Try adjusting the clutch pedal (just a bit higher).
If that does not help, get ready to replace your sychro.

If you have a act clutch then there is your problem they tend to lock out on high rpm.

If not then it time to send your trans out to shep or tre.

I have heard grinding 1 time, when I mis-shifted passing someone in 3rd shifting to 4th, bad sound - it hurt me too. What car is this, a IX or 8?

try changing your tranny fluid, if problem still persists, i'd look into a new synchro.

I had the same problem 3 to 4. It ended up being the synchros.

I had the same problem from 2nd to 3rd. I replaced all the shifter bushings with metal ones and changed the gear oil. Problem solved

If you need repair and choose TRE...think twice before sending out...had bad experience.
