Is there a more detailed install thread anywhere for the SMC kit?

what do you need to know soon2bEvo? I installed mine and it was VERY easy, but if you have a question I can answer it either here or PM.

LOL, . I remember back on November 05(did the write up in Dec 05) when they start selling this kits and no one had them installed like that.

Many people were still ordering the 2.5 galon tanks until I came up with this exact pioneer design and install, since then it was proven reliable.

Here is the link from back then. I am glad I was able to help out many people by setting an installation method.

By the way, your write up is very good and the install looks good as well.

In some cars up to 80 lbs/tq, check the signature of slowcar(Abner). I would say average gains of no less thna 30whp and 50lb/tq

By the way, I feel like I need to mention it, the vendor that sold him the SMC kit is one of the best vendors in this forum.

I purchased 3 SMC kits already from this same vendor. Here is my personal review on the vendor (specifically speaking Steve).

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=246489

This forum works a lot by words of mouth, I establish good rapport with the forum so that is why I think I feel comfortable recommending mods that I had and vendors that I dealt with. This kit is fantastic and as per the vendor I would rate them very high.

my .2c

Carlos

my question is again what happens if you run out.......say like a long trip and you dont want to carry around a can of alky? will your car screw up if you run without alky after setting it up for it? I am assuming you got a retune for it right?

Ya. If youre tuned for it youre going to be running high boost and a lot of timing. This was a big issue back when, but now you can run different maps with ECUflash so you can switch to a straight pump gas map.
