After WW3 Im heading back to OH (rents place) and taking her over to Shep Trans to have John give her a listen (and a new TC if needed). If it does not get worse after beating the tar out of her (aka the TC doesnt go further south (if it is the TC then I am expecting more noise and much louder)) then its the diff and bushings are translating more noise to the cabin.

BTW, sorry for the long post. But thats what I have been mulling over.
Do your bushings fit well? I just got a set and am a little worried about the fit.

Yes they fit tight and did not spin at all.

I also have the "post diff bushing diff-whine", and I got my diff bushings from WORKS. I recall one of their posts stating that out of all their bushings offered, the diff set brought the greatest increase in "NVH" --- which I believe is "something - Vehicular - Harmonics".

But yeah, it's definitely whining at hwy speeds and below, and was starting to concern me . . .

I also have the freeway whine. I was very paranoid when I first heard it, but only happens during .

I have the differential bushings as well as the drive shaft bushings. I am pretty damn sure that the combo is contributing to my new found whine.

I still love em.

Is anybody else's whine during acceleration, or am I just nuts?

Sounds like we all have the same noises. {hearts beating better now}

Yes, mine also whine under accel. Sounds like I have a supercharger...cool but no.

Wow, I also feel much better all of a sudden. I guess I can stop asking everyone to come for a ride with me to diagnose "that noise".

+1 breathing easier as well --- but seriously, even though I want to keep the efficiency (aka: lack of slop) in the driveline, I still want to quiet down the diff some, if not completely. Mainly because it's been trying to fool me into believing that I've got bad hubs from time to time when I turn slowly, so I've been considering using Redline Heavy Shockproof in rear diff as an option.

Are any of you running Shockproof in the rear diff already?

I just put mine on and now have the additional whine. Its not nearly as bad as the noise that I got when I put in a stiffer side motor mount. Getting all of the rubber off of the prop shaft brackets was a pain in the a$$.

you can't run shockproof in the rear diff. it will start to rattle at low speeds. unless of course you put friction modifier in it.

i'd like to know why you'd get a whine tho after these bushings. that sucks.
